“We have a problem. Our youngest son pulled a gun on our oldest daughter over Robin of all people.”
Lighting the cigarette, Valencia leaned back, letting them squirm for a few moments. She had learned from an early age that putting people on edge made them jumpy, made it harder for them to lie on the spot. The ever present threat of death definitely added to it.
“So.” The word was measured, cool but with an edge. A warning in itself. “How badly did you fuck up?”
She would give them one chance, only one, to give her a good reason not to shoot them between the damn eyes. It had been far too long since she had shot anyone other than maybe her husband, but she never shot to kill when it came to him.

“I don’t believe that I can stay here and watch them vilify my blood.”
“Well, the door’s right over there and I’m willing to bet your fucking legs work just fine.”
@pettythieveswithpotential sent: ❛ i would burn the world for you. ❜ - kit to val
"Bold of you to assume you would ever fucking need to."
“Oh I’m so fucking sorry. I didn’t realize mob boss meant I had to look like some fucking movie cliche. What fucking decade do you fucking think this is?”
@pettythieveswithpotential continued from [X]
“Some dumb fuck who thought I’d be an easier target than the rest of the family.” Which, he supposed, wasn’t wrong. The kids were definitely more dangerous than he was. But that didn’t make him not dangerous at all. “He was with the Melnikovs. He’s not dead, but...” He gave a shrug. Dude wasn’t okay either, not by a long shot.
“And why isn’t he dead?” Her words were cold, but there was a tightness around her eyes as she lit a cigarette. She only took a single drag off of it before before setting it aside, the ashtray on her desk a collection of half smoked and forgotten cigarettes. “You need to tell me who exactly. Threats do not get to live.”
@pettythieveswithpotential
“You have about ten seconds to give me all of your attention or I’m fucking punching you,” she stated plainly as she dropped herself into his lap. Work was stressing her out, the kids were driving her crazy, and picking a fight with Kit was just only thing that wouldn’t make her want to kill anyone.
@amongstmortals
“So, let me get this straight. You’re pissed off at daddy and want some help taking him down?” It seemed a little too good to be true to Valencia, but the least she could do was hear the girl out. Either she was telling the truth or the woman would just put a bullet in her and use it as a declaration of war. One she would stand a decent chance of winning.
“And why, pray tell, would that be?”
