Okay.. so quick matter of opinion.
We totally should've let the Echo of navigation live. It legit had no intentions of harm and hot take... INSTEAD OF TAKING MALOKS HEAD, WE SHOULDVE CONSIDERED THAT WHEN WE HAD THE HIVE PANTHEON IN THE SAME ROOM, BARTER A COMPROMISE AND DO FAMILY THERAPY. IM JUST SAYING ITS POSSIBLE WITH THEIR EMOTIONAL STATES. WE LEGIT FUCKED UP.

Ah… let me read the Guardian’s reports…
First thing, I have the feeling that the Hive’s gods would be particularly resistant to… therapy. The Witch Queen’s behavior when she was in Vanguard custody only attests to that. It is difficult to change your ways after having followed one path for lifetimes—I know that better than anyone.
As for the Echo, I believe I am unqualified to speak on its—his?—behalf. From my limited understanding of this particular situation, the Echo of Navigation did not entirely believe itself to be the Taken King? The Hive’s faith speaks against resurrecting the dead. It was never truly Oryx, nor did he want to return, in light of that. In the eyes of their doctrine, he was defeated, and his power should pass on. That should be the end of it.
I cannot give much more input than that, I’m afraid. My apologies.
