Morning After
Valaeda emerged from the bathroom, winding her length of damp pale hair into a messy knot. She grumbled the entire way, grumpy from the morning light, which had woke her up prematurely. Her footsteps made no sound, as she was used to stalking around a sleeping household without being caught.
Upon finding his closet, she dug through it until she found a shirt of his that she liked, a smirk curling her lips as she snatched it up and pulled it on. It was loose, and luckily so, as it just barely covered her nakedness. Her robe was neatly folded on the bed and she wasn't about to make a walk of shame in what she arrived in.
Making her way back to the bed, she sat upon the edge so she could pull her boots back on, lacing them up slowly so she didn't make any sudden movements. The last thing she wanted to deal with would be the look on his face when he put together that she was leaving before he woke. Valaeda thanked the ancestors for having the foresight of not wearing her heeled boots, as there would be no way she could sneak anywhere in those.
She sauntered over to where Senladis lay, watching him sleep peacefully. Well, peaceful as far as she could tell. A soft smile curled her lips as she gently ran her fingers through the messy mop of hair. He began to stir, which she took as her cue to move out. The door closed silently behind her, and as she expected the shade popped up before her. Valaeda sneered at the creature, having disliked it from the start.
"Master will be displeased if you left. Don't make Master upset or Rulnar will face punishment," it begged pitifully. The woman smiled at the thought of that.
"Bring me something to write with and some paper and I might consider staying. Better hurry~," she teased, watching as the shade nodded and disappeared for a few seconds, reappearing behind her. She jumped slightly, scowling at the creature as it delivered what she asked.
She wrote out the note, reading it over to make sure the tone was correct.
Senladis,
I would say I'm sorry for not staying longer, but my duties call. Hopefully we'll be able to see each other soon. Maybe next time, I can show you how I do things.

Upon deciding it was satisfactory, she folded the paper over, and stuffed it under the bedroom door. Once she straightened up, she looked at the shade and smiled sweetly. "Portal please."
"You said you would stay. You lied to Rulnar!" The familiar grew upset, almost angry.
"I said I would consider it, which I did. And I decided I want to go home," her grin grew at Rulnar's discomfort. "Portal. Now."
Reluctantly, the familiar made the portal, which Valaeda quickly stepped through. At the other end, she was surprised to see Ashmere Harbor, the village where she lived. Looking back, she had second thoughts about leaving, but continued onwards. The portal snapped shut rudely as soon as she exited, causing her to cast a glare behind her.
The harsh coastal wind whipped about her, and the scent of the sea welcomed her home. The woman relaxed as she trudged towards the lavish house nestled at the top of a nearby hill, discarded robe in hand.
