It would have hardly taken an hour or two for the entire group to make it back to your bakery but, in a surprising act of kindness, Kizaru had taken you with him, way ahead of the rest, if only so you'd be able to get the house presentable and wouldn't feel anxious about it...That's to say he was giving you time to leave all your gadgets and gizmos in reach and view, while also letting you conceal and put away whatever belongings you didn't want the others to reach perhaps letting himself take a peek at those.
You rushed upstairs as soon as he put you down by the entrance, where the 'CLOSED' sign still faced the outside.
Hurrying yourself into the upper floor, you quickly began rearranging everything; Your phone and the rest of your electronics that had been packed into your suitcase now rested on top of your bedsheets, you set your clothes on top of the underwear you had brought with you, the snacks from your world were separated, whatever you were willing to part with or could recreate joined the pile of things they could inspect, and whatever you were unsure you could get more of or simply favoured and were unwilling to give up was hidden in the crevices of the suitcases as securely as you could manage to conceal it.
Even when you hurried to work with the same speed as a hurricane itself, Kizaru simply leant against the wall, arms crossed, one foot resting against the wall itself while the other remained planted on the ground, eyes twinkling with amusement as he watched, not helping at all, both because he didn't think you'd want him touching anything at present, but also because he truly couldn't be bothered. He simply took you in, curiosity and wonder mixing in his gaze as he observed the way you fluttered around, his heart lurching almost like a teenager's in a way he really couldn't be bothered to try to comprehend at present.
Despite how quickly you were working, minutes ticked by too fast for your liking, and it wasn't long until the others had made their way in.
Luckily, the first one to step in (and you thanked whatever was above in this universe, if there was anything, that the man you had 'inherited' the house and bakery from was as absurdly gigantic as he was) was Sengoku this time, seemingly intent on keeping an eye on the rest of the group to make sure they wouldn't act out of line although he himself was curious about the objects you had brought with you
After him, the other two admirals were keeping up the pace, and the seven warlords spilled in.
The sight, you thought to yourself, might have been endearing under any other circumstances. Sadly enough though, at present, you couldn't find it in you to feel any kind of charmed, given Doflamingo was already looking around like he was trying to decide what to snatch first. Luckily, for now, everybody seemed more caught up in your electronics than they did your luggage, which meant your undergarments and more private belongings were safe...for the time being, anyhow.
It wasn't like there was any real order to the way they were interacting with your stuff; All of them were just checking out the thing they found most interesting.
Boa was tinkering with your phone because it felt comfortable enough in her hand and she was snooping through your pictures and the apps, secretly decently charmed by the filters in the camera and the idea of selfies
Doflamingo, much to you absolute, abject horror, was tinkering on your laptop, curious about they keyboard itself and all your icons and desktop and private documents
Crocodile was staring at both of the previous warlords intently, eyeing both devices like he was already plotting and planning, while at the same time inspecting the gaming console you carried with you with a raised eyebrow.
Mihawk, to nobody's surprise and much to your endearment was instead busying himself with checking out the books you had brought with you , surprisingly curiously...or...well, at least you thought you could discern curiosity within his gaze, even if his features themselves hadn't quite changed.
Kuma seemed to simply inspect everything from relatively afar, not touching anything and seeming as robotic as per usual, although you saw his nose twitch ever-so-slightly at the lingering smell of pastries coming from downstairs still.
Jinbe was, shockingly, curious to your clothing. After some thought though, it didn't seem as strange as you initially would have found it; You had been naturally curious of Jinbe as a fishman when you first met as was, and you would be lying if you said you weren't still curious now, although asking felt awkward, since you wanted to try to avoid accidentally offending him. Jinbe must have felt the same, since he seemed especially curious to your clothing, as if trying to dissect the meaning or cultural significance of it from the colors and designs alone.
And Moria? Well, Moria had taken it upon himself to go through the snacks you had packed and inspect them, trying them as he pleased which Garp beat him to by stealing the first handful of each everytime, much to the warlord's chagrin, although, you still preferred your snacks stolen to whatever in the world Doflamingo was trying with your laptop...
Sengoku was, much to your relief, monitoring everything, so that way he got to inspect all items while, at the same time, making sure none of the others did any damage to or stole any of them. For such a large man, it was admittedly rather cute watching his eyes light up with curious wonder at all the strange gizmos you carried.
It would have been fine, if that had been the end of it. Sadly, though, the three Admirals had recently joined the roster of people who randomly hunted you down, so, the three giant men (because you were sure they were as tall as people here would get, right? ...Right?) were also busying themselves with your belongings.
Akainu was inspecting everything the way you suspected a detective would, like this was a job, like he was investigating a murder scene, and you almost struggled to hold yourself back from laughing as you saw him holding up a plushy you had been gifted in the past and squint at it like he was holding a murder weapon and trying to decipher if it was the right one.
Aokiji was staring and poking at all the electronics, fidgeting around with everything he could get his hands on, his eyes seeming to wander towards your clothing every now and again...the one you were actively wearing, though, and if you were any less trusting, you would say he was actively checking you out which was very much confirmed with how he was also staring at the clothes you had packed up in a manner much different from Jinbe's, but luckily much different from Doflamingo's, too.
Kizaru was, for his part, instead entertaining himself by inspecting your reactions to this all, arms still crossed, back still resting against the wall, legs lazily half crossed ever so slightly, in a manner that wouldn't leave you surprised were he to be able to fall asleep with. You still couldn't discern his eyes from under the tinted shades, but you swore you could just feel the amusement radiating off of him. From his spot, he surveyed all the competition others with intrigue, and seeming endearment towards your mild distress.
Upon everything being sufficiently inspected for a very awkward while, awkward on your behalf, anyway, Garp gave a huff.
"Alright, alright, things we don't know how to work and clothes we don't get, very interesting, how about pispqueak here explains everything downstairs?" He demanded, with Sengoku immediately delivering a hit to the head which Garp just narrowly avoided "YOU JUST WANT MORE BAKED GOODS" "AND SO WHAT IF I DO?!" Garp half demanded, half laughed back, ushering you downstairs, half genuinely wanting food, half wanting you more comfortable in a more professional environment.
Stumbling after him, you quickly got the tables and chairs ready, and just as you were about to take orders, you realized the hat and apron that had previously been lost during your kidnapping apprehending were still missing. Hurrying upstairs once everybody had piled into the bakery, you searched around the still-untouched cupboards, closets and drawers, hoping for some more outfits.
Finding none, you pouted, gloomily telling yourself with a sigh that a part of the berry you had earned would have to go to a new work outfit. Althougfh admittedly, regardless of how you felt about shopping trips in your own time and universe? The thought of getting to actually choose an outfit here felt...a little exciting...!
Giving up on finding any spare clothes, you headed back to the stairs, catching sight of your luggage on the way. Everything was intact and where it should be.
Or well, everything, except for the fact some of you goddamned underwear had been snatched.
people being mad that opla "spoiled" sanji's backstory could not be me bro. seeing people talk about germa 66 and sanji being a prince are what made me keep watching, actually
