Hey guys! Today’s post is all about Annoying Grocery Shopping Moments that happen during the holidays. If you all find this post super relatable, give this post a like. Also, subscribe and share this post with your family and friends since it’s the season for sharing and giving :)
1. Lines At The Stores
Lines during the holidays are so long that you start to think, “I didn’t even know that this many people lived in my town”.
2. Barely No Food On Shelves
When the grocery stores are packed and there’s barely left on the shelves because the weather said it’s supposed to snow. *Quick little side note, let’s just bring up the fact that GA FINALLY had snow grace our presence. I WAS SO HAPPY! *Insert picture*
3. That “I Forgot One More Thing” Person
When someone ahead of you in line leaves mid-transaction because they “forgot one more thing”. I know that we’ve all been that person at least at one point in time, but come on we all know that in our heads when it is not us we think that person is super annoying and is wasting our time haha.
4. Fighting Over The Last Item
There’s only one item left and you and someone else are fighting over who’s gonna get it. If my eyes lay on it first, it’s mine. You betcha bottom dollar if I touch it fist, it’s for dang sure mine. Haha, but seriously.
5. That “I Bought The Entire Store” Person
When the person in front of you basically bought the whole store and you are stuck waiting in line for what seems like an hour. Thankfully I haven’t been that person, well not yet at least. I might be when I grow up and get my own family, but until that day comes I will continue to be slightly annoyed by these people. Lol.
Hey Vegaholics! Today, I'm going to be talking about some of things that have been helping me get through the winter aka my Winter Essentials! Without further or due, let's just get right into it :)
1. Onesies - If you don't own a onesie at least for this time of the year, then you aren't doing it right! Onesies aren't too hard to find. They are pretty much sold about everywhere. I love them! They keep me nice & warm.
2. Knit Leggings/Pajama Pants - For Christmas, I received these Fair Isle Knit Leggings/Pajama Pants from Bethany Mota's clothing line & I love them so much. They are super soft, super comfy, and thick. They are actually thicker than you would expect them to be.
3. Boots - I love wearing boots during this time of the year. Boots are one of my main winter essentials! My favorite type of boots are riding boots & UGGs.
4. Tea - This is more of an all year round favorite but I'm pretty sure you guys knew that! My favorite tea at the moment is Bigelow's Vanilla Caramel Tea. It smells & tastes amazing. I definitely recommend trying it if you are a fan of all things vanilla & caramel.
5. So Delicious Dairy-Free Mint Chocolate Coconut Milk -You guys know how much I love this stuff because I've talked about it on the blog. I mentioned this drink in my November Favorites post. If you've never tried this drink before, then what are you doing with your life? You HAVE to try it out!*
6. Mugs - During this time of year, I tend to get Christmas mugs because I really like Christmas mugs & help me get into the Christmas spirit a bit. Plus, you never can have too many mugs haha!
7. Netflix - I love Netflix! I use it basically all of the time. Lately, I've been using it more because it's been really really cold & raining a lot where I am which basically means I'm at home a lot due to my very bipolar weather. I don't mind it because Netflix keeps me very company haha. The show I've been watching on Netflix is Total Drama Island which is a show from Cartoon Network (don't judge it's a guilty pleasure of mine). Tell me in the comments what shows you all watch on Netflix because I'm in need of some suggestions!
8. Fuzzy Socks - I love wearing fuzzy socks during the winter time because I get cold very easily and they really help keep my feet warm. If you get cold easily like me, then I definitely recommend getting a pair. They sell fuzzy socks practically everywhere so they aren't hard too find.

DIY gifts are such a great idea if you want to put together meaningful, personalized gifts for your loved ones. If you are a person who's on a budget, doesn't have the time to wrap gifts, or you just suck at wrapping gifts like myself (HAHA!), then my friend you have come to the right place. If you receive any giftspiration from this blogpost, then send me pictures using the hashtag #Valalaidays because I would love to see them. Without further or due, let's get into the DIY Gift Ideas.
Gift Idea #1: Spa In A Jar
This is such a great gift to give to someone who has a crazy schedule & doesn't have enough time for "me" time. As you can see, the example below is targeted to girls/women, but this can totally be a unisex gift based on what you put in the jar. The jar below is a mason jar and mason jars are sold about everywhere & they aren't that hard to find. They sell them at Target, Walmart, etc. You can get little goodies from different stores to pack into the jar. Also, since it's the holidays different stores have gift sets that you can get & you can actually divide everything in those sets to create multiple spa jars. I'm actually planning on giving this gift to some friends & I know they will love it!
Items mentioned: 1 - Mason Jar (sold about everywhere), 2 - Lotion (BBW), 3 - Candle (BBW), 4 - Nail Manicure Kit (sold about everywhere), 5 - Body Wash (BBW), 6 - Ribbon (sold about everywhere), 7 - Nail Polish (sold about everywhere).
Gift Idea #2: Cozy In A Basket
This is a great gift to give to someone to help them stay cozy & warm during the holidays. Tea & Hot Chocolate are absolute must-haves for the holidays so I had to include those things. I love giving festive mugs during the holiday season because you can't have too many mugs & also you need something to put your festive drinks in. I absolutely love wearing fuzzy socks because I get cold very easily and fuzzy socks keep my feet all nice & toasty warm! I included hats & gloves because you can't neglect your head & hands especially me because my hands can get really really cold in the winter.
Items mentioned: 1 - Tea (sold about everywhere), 2 - Fuzzy Socks (sold about everywhere), 3 - Basket (sold about everywhere), 4 - Hot Chocolate K-Cups (sold at grocery stores), 5 - Gloves (sold about everywhere), 6 - Hat (sold about everywhere), 7 - Christmas Mug (sold about everywhere).
Gift Idea #3: Baking In A Jar
This is a great gift to give to the baker or the aspiring baker in your life. You can fill your Mason Jar with some small items that the gift receiver could use while they are baking or just cooking in general. You can find mini baking utensils just about anywhere at places like Target, World Market, etc. I chose Christmas themed baking utensils since it's Christmas time. This gift could be given with a cookbook or you can even stick in a few recipe cards inside of the jar.
Items mentioned: 1 - Mason Jar (sold about everywhere), 2 - Cupcake Liners (sold everywhere or Michaels), 3 - Mini Spatula (sold about everywhere or Kohls), 4 - Williams Sonoma Gift Card, 5 - Mini Whisk (sold about everywhere), 6 - Mini Cookie Cutters (sold about everywhere), 7 - Mini Measuring Spoons (sold about everywhere).
Gift Idea #4: On The Go Guy
This is a great gift for the guy in your life. You can tailor this gift towards your guy, your brother, your dad or even your granddad and you can just fill up the basket with all of his current favorites, things he wants, or even throwback favorites/memories that will make him smile. I tailored this gift to the guy in your life that's constantly on the go & is always traveling. All of these items are great on the go/traveling essentials.
Now, it's time to decorate the jars & give the jars some life to them. Haha! A great way to give them some personality is by making fun labels. You can write whatever you want on them like maybe something sentimental or even an inside joke which makes these gifts more meaningful. You can make them in any shape you want. You can make them fancy or just keep it simple. For label ideas, you can never go wrong with looking at Pinterest which is what inspired today's blogpost.
