I need more explanation on valchase and jasabeth because I see your vision and I need MORE

(I just wanna say sorry for getting back to this late!! I’ve been trynna been on Pinterest [shameless plug time you should totally go follow me] more smh) anyway I’d LOVE to elaborate on these more:3

Jasabeth- honestly I started shipping them because they seemed silly like but now I have more “valid” reasons for liking this ship. I always saw Piper and Percy as best friends and then Jason and Annabeth are the moms that are kind of awkward around each other but then as they get talking they also become best friends (fall in love) and learn they have a ton in common!! And these two actually do have a lot in common let me cook. Self worth issues (Annabeth is pretty obviously very harsh on herself and feels like she needs to prove herself as worthy to Athena and Jason feels like he needs to be a “good Roman” and has been raised to feel like he needs to be super tough all the time plus if you skim through tbm which I know is painful but if you read it you might be able to catch a scene where Mellie and Hedge are mad at Jason for I forgot why but I know it wasn’t his fault and Jason instantly takes the blame so like) they both have lots of family issues (do I have to explain this?) both feel like they need to be tough and serious all the time and don’t let themselves feel vulnerable (again I think I just explained this) etc etc. I also love shipping best friends because just hear me out okay? Leo and Jason are best friends right and Piper and Annabeth are best friends so OBVIOUSLY you have to either take the yaoi and yuri or ship the pair of best friends there’s not another option/j. Anyhow yeah this ship has the potential to be both angsty and adorable and I really really love them a lot.

Leobeth- if I’m being fr this is mostly just a crackship. I don’t have any “valid reasons” to ship them or anything like I do Jasabeth I just have silly reasons if that makes sense. Firstly oh my god they’re such nerds they would totally bond over their special interests. Like I can see them talking for hours and hours and making plans to build new stuff and gosh they’re just so cute goodness. Secondly they fit a lot of my favorite tropes some of which including flirty awkward guy who keeps trying to swoon girl x girl who is so done with his bullshit like oh my god stop, nerd x nerd, chaotic x calm (also chaotic), tall gf x short bf, etc. oh oh also i can totally see them confiding in each other and Annabeth finally letting her guard down and being silly and unserious and vulnerable for once in her goddamn life because Leo brings that out in her
