Fallen London is so delightful for MANY a reason but I think one of my favorites is just. How easy it is to go about playing.

If I can get onto my Firefox, I can play it. There's no catch.

It BENEFITS from me stepping away from it for a bit - which is super helpful when I have to, say, write a school paper, finish a drawing or a 3D project, spend time with the folks, reading a book, or doing errands.

I'm *allowed* to do my usual media hopping bc I cannot possibly be into one single thing at a time. My brain doesn't work like that. Fallen London is sharing space with Transformers, Final Fantasy 7, Baldur's Gate 3, and Downton Abbey. Again, it benefits from that. Running off to go focus on something else = more actions

And with how interesting and yet not overwhelming it is, it makes a DELIGHTFUL diversion when feeling rather ill (like I am right now).

There's a BUNCH of things I like about fallen london but how it plays is certainly one of the best things about it.

Don’t imagine Clarisse stroking Chris’s hair and singing all soft to help him sleep. Don’t imagine lityersed and apollo working out in the garden together. Don’t imagine Frank falling asleep on Leo’s back in the form of a cat because it helps both of them sleep. Don’t imagine Hazel staring at Lavinia with a love stricken smile as she rambles on and on about her day. Don’t imagine Jason sitting in the engine room with Leo and reminding him to eat and take breaks. Don’t imagine Frank giving Hazel forehead kisses. Don’t imagine Piper playing with Jasons fingers when she’s nervous. Don’t imagine Rachel holding hands with Annabeth every chance she gets. Don’t imagine Annabeth reading right up until Percy snuggles between her book and her chest. Don’t imagine Clarisse getting her makeup done by Silena. Don’t imagine Will buying flowers and chocolate for Nico every chance he gets and Nico calling him stupid cheesy pet names in Italian. Don’t imagine Ethan being the most awkward fuck whilst trying to flirt with Alabaster and getting all embarrassed while Alabaster just giggles. Don’t imagine your favorite ships being cute. Stop it.

Have you ever thought about how weird the term "human resources" is? Or anything with "human" in it? Like no I'd like crow resources please I'd like to learn how to fly and complain that I can't, thanks.

Percabeth is strategic X strategic but it’s also street smart X street smart. There’s no way Annabeth isn’t street smart. She ran away at seven and basically lived on the streets and in the forest she’s gonna know how to throw a punch and how to pickpocket people and how to avoid gangs and all the street smart things.

No because how did Frank survive multiple months on a ship with a ton of neurodivergent teenagers as the only neurotypical guy? Everyone’s making impulsive decisions, constantly stimming, keeping odd things that seem like trash to him, hyper focusing on one thing for hours and getting pissed off when he interrupts, forgetting to take care of themselves, etc etc and he DIDNT loose his mind?? That’s honestly impressive
