I finally got around to reading the Valentines' specials and my stupid poly heart fucking melted reading the ValenReign one.

For real, it captured so much of what I love about being in a triad so well, and I guess I wanted to thank you for putting so much thought into it.

Curious because of the upcoming Valenreign special. Is the poly a V-poly? I want to romance them both but I don’t think I would like seeing them together >.< I think my MC would feel jealous if G and Victoria are together too. Are they all dating each other? Thank you for answering!

It’s a triad so G and Victoria will be together too :) Jealousy is natural in many relationships—we’re human after all—but if that stems from you just not wanting them together at all then I don’t think the poly is the right route for you. MC will be dating them both yes, but they will also be with each other. It’s an equal relationship between all three with equal importance so if you don’t want to read about G and Victoria also happy together and being a couple then maybe do another route! :)

That’s the beauty of multiple saves aha or u can do the affair and romance them both before it all blows up in your face….? /j

I mean this in the most hype and loving way I can: I like to explain my character doing the Valenreign poly route as "becoming the third in a failing marriage"

aka mc looking at valenreign: "I can totally make this worse"

Thinking of the implications of the poly and seeing ValenReign together and knowing you can’t be up there with them and only be with them in secret…

MC seeing them together being “happy” in public without them because ValenReign is still a brand at the end of the day and they can’t be public with their love yet because it’s a delicate balance between the truth and what the people want. Navigating a relationship that’s not only built on a rocky surface but on the perception of the public, having to reassure themself that they are still an equal even when there are naysayers who are telling them that ValenReign will always just be ValenReign and there’s no room for MC.

Of course, G and V say different, but the voices in our heads can be convincing…

Why can’t any of these relationships be easy?? /j

lol I know it was not your intention (and I know what you meant!!) but that part in the last ask where you say "I think anyone would tire of having to convince their partner [...]" made me laugh because imagine mc being Vic/G's partner while they are still in a marriage lmao

lolol yeah, I think an MC who is insecure in the relationship or questioning themself often is very valid. I mean, they're forced to be a secret (depending on the nature of the route and combination of choices and yeah yeah im talking generally haha) and that would make anyone feel a certain way.

Of course, when you're a celebrity thats super stressed and having to harbor this secret while playing the role of happy spouse to the media and trying to keep yourself together when your sanity is hanging on by a thread, you're bound to react a certain way to someone questioning your love (????) even though you may not be right in acting that way but these ROs aren't emotionally all there as we've established. I can see a lot of tension rising from that dynamic.

the poly has much smoother waters, the waves here are a tad more tranquil but still messy considering there's a whole other can of worms that mc deals with emotionally...

I should probably not give too much security and comfort to polymancers because I have no intention of making that route easy either !

i was daydreaming and i imagined in the valenreign poly Victoria accidentally flustering MC, her apologizing and feeling bad only for G to cackle and tell her that MC liked it and encourage her to fluster them even more, maybe make snide remarks on seeing how bright red they could get them at.

That's exactly the sort of dynamic I imagine for the valenreign poly lmao

it'll be interesting to see how polymancer MCs slide into the dynamic between Victoria and G. Either they're another G, another Victoria, or a whole other third thing lolol you can see it a bit in chapter 2 a little! It's definitely funny when MC doesn't choose any side and both G and V are like "ugh" lolol
