Your chance comes in Misfit Alley's Battle of the Bands. After auditioning every year with no success, your band has finally gotten the opportunity to tour across the United States and open for the biggest band in the world, performing against other bands in the hopes that you win and get signed.

The Band Manager: Orion/Oriana Quinn ⎠he/him or she/her, 35 ⎠[RO] -- strict and reserved, O is the antithesis of what a rockstar is. Some call their cold and uptight demeanor having 'a stick up their ass' but they call it being business focused. O is all about bringing the band to the top, which includes being professional at all times.
Special romance route: you can choose to have been chasing O for years, to no success (until now?)
The New Addition: August Pierce ⎠they/them, 26 ⎠[RO] -- With the exit of your bandmate, August has taken her place as the band's drummer. Usually shy and reserved, that all goes out the window once they start playing. You wonder if their isolation is less a personality trait and more the fact that they're in a band with longtime friends. Doesn't matter--seems like it'll take a while for you to get close to them regardless.
The Idol: Griffin/Gina 'Gigi' Reign ⎠he/him or she/her, 28 ⎠[RO] -- the spunky, charming and controversial lead singer of Misfit Alley and now your mentor, G Reign is currently the most famous person on Earth. Everyone either hates them, wants to be them, or wants to fuck them. Of course, this means a slew of trouble if one gets close to them...that is if they even allow it.

The Rival: Seven Lawless ⎠he/him or she/her, 27 ⎠[RO] -- once your best friend or ex, they are now your rival and the lead singer of Soft Violence, another band competing for Battle of the Bands. They hate you. Still, the line between love and hate is a whole lot of passion.
Special romance route: can either be an ex or a former best friend, enemies to lovers.
The Girl Dad: Sebastian Holland ⎠he/him, 33 ⎠[RO] -- a normal and friendly data analyst, Sebastian isn't about the music scene....but his daughter is and she's a superfan of your band. Sebastian is your typical 'nice guy' almost too nice, sometimes, and has been dragged along by his daughter to follow the Battle of the Bands for her birthday. He's just a normal civilian. The last thing you should do is get to know him, right?
The Eye Candy: Victoria Valentine ⎠she/her, 27 ⎠[RO] -- G Reign's wife, she's an upcoming actress and model. Victoria has been G's eye candy since they came up on the scene, but you can almost sense the tension between them. And the way Victoria seeks shelter in someone else...that could be you.

Greatly enjoying how much you like giving your characters a trademark: Cory and her pantsuits, Seven and their bandana, Triple and his Canadian tuxedo, Rowan and his beanie, Viktor and his salmon suits. I don't know. I found it interesting (and charming).

It's all coming don't worry! The longer scenes take me a bit since I'm pretty particular about what I want to write because they're considered canon that's why they take a little longer to come out! But they're coming! I promise!
sometimes i like to think ive consumed a lot of fiction but also i feel like i havent bc i genuinely think the concept of seven is so Genius. im sure there are characters who also carry the concept of Angry Ex But They Still Love Their Ex Very Much To The Point It Hurts but i feel like no one does it the way you write seven lawless. kudos to u amy :,)
One thing about Infamous I love is Rowan and August's friendship. They are the best buddies of the universe. What attracts them to each other so much? I need more Rowan Auggie crumbs.
I love them too!!! I do like to include them together as much as possible because they're such a great pairing haha
At first it was more a consequence of their proximity. Iris and Devyn are attached to the hip while MC is always elsewhere dealing with Main Character things that Rowan and August just found themselves together a lot. Then they realized they got along really well.
I love the chaotic x chill dynamic between them. They balance each other very well. Rowan is excitable and energetic but always open to doing what August wants to do, even if its just hanging in bed on their phones, and August is chill and laid-back but down to always be Rowan's partner in shenanigans.
They are truly the besties of the universe and Rowan is very very happy he has someone that he's in a duo with now (until mc steals them on their route?! /lh). August values Rowan's presence a lot, especially during this transitional period where they're still trying to become a true part of the band!

jokes aside the discussions are all in good fun and tone is never properly translated over text so im never upset the way people think i am <3 opinions of all kinds are welcomed here and i try my best to be an author that people feel comfortable with when it comes to their own thoughts about the story, im probably not always successful at it since i am human and trying to accommodate many different viewpoints can be a slippery slope so i apologize for my occasional frustration!

I think we were misinterpreting each other! I was talking about Avina in general. Not about how they treat the MC. I pivoted the conversation to explain why people dislike them for reasons other than their treatment of MC, because people were perplexed as to why. I don't even dislike Avina yet the comments are filled with people assuming I do and calling me unintelligent. Just like I guess would occur.

That was on me since your message was sandwiched between angrier messages I thought were better to ignore đ Talk of Avina always spirals into me being called all sorts of names and terrible writer and having favoritism yadda yadda that I have the habit of overexplaining myself before Iâm misunderstood (which usually happens anyway) and I forget I may be pouncing for no reason at all.
I don't dislike Avina because they treat MC badly. Their POVs show how negative of an influence they are to Seven and reveal how they're manipulative. It at times feels like both you and fans of SV try to absolve Seven, Avina, and the two fools of their actions meanwhile The Band and MC have to constantly be accountable and forever guilty of their actions (even MCs who have done nothing warranting Seven's actions. In fact, 90% of Seven's behavior is the same regardless of MC's treatment of them). People can acknowledge characters have done wrong and are flawed while also liking them. I thought the whole point of SV and The Band were the parallels between the two, and how Seven arrived in a similar situation to when in The Band and just hasn't realized it yet, similar to when MC hopefully realizes how controlling The Band is. Will MC have to bend over backwards for forgiveness but SV is given a pass? I know when The Band's secrets come out everyone will hate them but I just don't see equal treatment coming to SV.
Hmmm no because I didnât say that itâs not valid to hate Avina/SV or SV isnât flawed in how theyâre treating Seven, I said that itâs odd to expect Avina to treat MC and Seven equally when MC is a stranger to them and Seven is their best friend. Even if Avina is being unfair toward MC, thatâs just human nature. Of course theyâre going to be loyal to their literal best friend over someone they never even met before this tour.
Everything you said is fine and valid, but youâve made me go from âit makes sense Avina isnât treating mc equally as their best friendâ to me having to defend myself against an accusation of absolving everything Avina and SV has ever done ever đ which is exactly why I said I donât answer questions about Avina to avoid this problem.
It was the anon who said something about Avinaâs POVs and I avoided commenting on that. In my response I said nothing about Avina and their treatment of Seven nor did I make any commentary on their relationship, which is the actual problem in their narrative arc that will unravel in the demo once MC and Seven start talking to each other. Thatâs a whole different conversation.

avina's inclination to side with their best friend feels very real to me and ik people hate it because it's against the MC (which is very valid) but i feel like the most likely outcome is taking ur best friend's side idk it feels a little ridiculous to expect avina to hear MC out right now when they *just* met and their best friend is so hurt, even if it's a nuanced situation it's not like avina is going to go behind seven's back and get the deets from mc when the tour just started
if the roles were reversed and avina was mc's best friend i'd feel the same way
