Damn.
Combat training sucked that day, hard. He'd never really liked the class, but now he had a reason to. Ginnifer McKay was strong, even when she toned down her abilities. Horus had gotten his ass kicked, and he hurt all over. He hadn't had a chance to check the damage she had done to him before he left the class, and he was curious to see just how badly he'd been beaten. Ducking away into an alley, too impatient to walk back to his dorm first, he unbuttoned his shirt and surveyed his cuts and bruises.
Looking down at his body, he ran his fingers gently over a bruise on his rib cage, already dark against his pale skin. He cursed, silently, and his eyes moved to the cut above the black and blue mess.
