“Well, good news...”
“I’m not hurt!”
“In fact, I only have a concussion!”
Lena had escaped with a few bumps and bruises, but all in all she was okay. Sure she wouldn’t ever get over what happened to her, but she was strong. She could move on with her life like she was trying to after she lost her parents to those rebels. She felt better knowing there were two less rebels out there, but was glad that she hadn’t been the one to kill them. Strolling around town she was on the look out of any of her friends so she could check on them. Make sure there wasn’t any news that she’d missed. She was still shaken from the events, but she was trying to keep herself together.
After Xavier had been checked over and over by nurses he was given the all clear. He definitely had some stuff going on inside of his head, but he knew he had to push it away and look after everyone else. There were so many people in the hospital who had suffered so badly. He just wanted to help. Once he was allowed to go home xav found himself in his kitchen cooking non stop until there was no where for the food to go. he;d given things away but there was still too much. Instead of wasting it he decided it would be good for him to take it to the hospital and give it out there to both people who had been hurt and also people who needed to comforting. He didn’t really know the extent of how badly things had been after the attack, but walking into the hospital with a box of assorted cake, cookies and slices he was starting to realise that there had been a lot of hurt people.
Nightmares || Addie & Open
Addie had never had a problem with sleeping. It was always easy for her to drift off into a restful sleep as she could let herself see whatever she wanted in a way. she could even help Callum when he was having rough nights. Sure she wasn’t some dream manipulator, but she could let him and even herself see visions of nice happy things that would almost feel like a dream. But things had changed. Laying in the hospital bed addie hadn’t slept for longer than an hour since she arrived there. Every time she closed her eyes it was the same scene. She lay back and closed her eyes, exhaustion taking over, and fall into some resemblance of sleep.
Her arms were tied behind her back and somewhere there was a deep, erratic thudding that she didn’t realise was her heartbeat. In her dreams there were people all around her at times, trying to hurt her, hitting her with things and pushing her around. She cried and screamed, both in her dreams and out loud during her sleep. All she wanted was to get home, but the events of her kidnapping were making her relive the moments.
Tossing and turning in her sleep, she cried and tried to scream for help. In her dream she was being lifted up and carried away into a dark room. Once all light had disappeared and her vision had gone completely, that was when she woke up. “Please don’t let them take me!” she screamed out loud as she sat up in her hospital bed, just as someone walked in. Her mind was still a little confused about her surrounding and she gasped as she saw the person, cowering in fear as they approached. Her face was wet with tears that she didn’t even know she’d cried and she was completely tangled in her sheets.
“Is everybody okay?”
“Please tell me everybody’s alright...”
Breaking The Cycle: Eric & Nettie
Eric came to with a groan, a strange feeling of nausea washing over him as his eyes cracked open only to find himself enveloped in semi-darkness which for a moment he was grateful for that was until his memory came back and he jerked upright the act earning an unanticipated and muffled sound of pain to echo in the small room. The last things that returned to him were the scent of ash mingled smoke hanging heavy on the air and the distant sound of water lapping up against the beach where they had all been enjoying themselves. Of course, none of this would ever last - he was stupid to think that maybe it would, now the only thing which he could recall is a sharp stabbing pain in his leg and a tightness over his mouth that could only signify one thing; once again the Rebels had struck and left them all in the dark as to what was occurring around them - clever but frustrating.
Panic was often the most gripping primary response to such situations, though Eric quelled that within a few moments taking a few breaths through his nose to gather himself whilst blinking at the dim light of wherever they were located. He’d been trained for this so his body did as it was conditioned so he could try and step through a way to get them both out of here whilst maintaining his cover; difficult but not impossible. Narrowed eyes moved around their surroundings which rocked to the swell of water which accompanied by the distant hum of an engine was his first clue as to where they were - a boat of some sort. His attention then shifted down to his leg which with its unnaturally crooked angle suggested something seriously wrong - more than likely broken.
He wasn’t about to sit tight and let them take him wherever they planned to, especially when on his second assessment of the room his icy gaze settled on an oh so familiar figure - Nettie. Of all the people he could be stuck with it had to be her. What surprised him however wasn’t her presence but more the jolt of anger and a murderous intent which bubbled through his system. Eric could kill every one of these bastards if he chose to, it wouldn’t take much after all to kill and to destroy was simply his nature. The metallic clang of the ladder drew his attention and as the rebel with the gun clambered down Eric’s eyes narrowed considerably especially at his attitude - was this really what rebels had been reduced to? Apparently the man was only really interested in Nettie but the way he was looking at her sent a chill through Eric and the anger he felt to multiply. That one would die, whatever it took that one would not see the morning Eric would see to that personally. Giving a huff of frustration which caused the rebel to turn the gun in his direction whilst moving closer deliberately knocking his leg which caused another grunt of hot pain through his leg. “And if either of you try anything stupid I’ll happily put a bullet in this one’s skull,” he warned a crazed glint in his eyes as he stared down at Eric which he met defiantly though that just earned another kick with which his body betrayed him by contorting - attempting to pull his leg away from the source of the pain tears prickling his eyes as he sat there apparently helpless though the truth was far from that.
“It’s nice to sit and just hang out... Even if it’s weird you haven’t hit on me once this evening. Are you sure you’re feeling alright?”
Well firstly, you don't actually need this so that's going in the bonfire. Anything else? Or can I just throw this whole thing away?
