There has been a lot going on all over the world in this year — change can sometimes be a painful and heartbreaking journey. I hope that in this year, we as Singaporeans continue to embrace change and evolution in an all-inclusive, genuine and heartfelt manner. That we act not just with our hearts, but with our intellect and soul. So that detractors can stop labelling us as shallow, superficial, and uncaring. Because I do know many who would protect and stand up for the things and people we love and respect. Also, I hope we finally realise that what happens online doesn't always mirror reality — I hope we learn to connect meaningfully in a form that is more organic and face-to-face.
