Leather creaks as he balls his fists, almost like a petulant child. Defiance runs through his veins and he's ready to SHOW her what FEAR truly means. Taunts plague his mind, both from his enigmatic master and that dreadful cur GENERAL HUX.
"Of you? A scavenger girl?" The vocorder growls, turning any traces of youth into a threat, but nothing will ever touch the might of his grandfather. And yet, Ren chases a shadow. "You are a cornered animal and when you've been put down, I don't think there's anyone who will miss you."
Traces of warmth, force flecks dappling Rey reach him as soon as he speaks. He bristles, like an angry hound. His mother's Force imprint lingers over her like a VEIL.

Rey can FEEL it bones deep, as if the MENACE'S emotion emanated from her own form. A tremor, as quick as lightning, pushes down every vertebra of her spine as she watches his leather clad fists ball.
Her own reflection is mirrored back at her in the visor of that ridiculous helmet he wears. Yet, she can not bring herself to tear her gaze away.
She is a nobody, a simple scavenger. A discarded orphan left to fend for herself in Jakku with little more than a dream of reunion. She KNOWS all about waiting, about SUFFERING alone.
Ren indelicately picks at a scabbed wound, opening it afresh, till it BLEEDS. The emotion is beyond RAW. Pained, Rey's own oaken orbs betray her ferocious tenacity. "No," her trepidatious voice betrays her own terror. If only it were that simple. But he does not FEAR her. She hasn't yet given him cause to. "That you'll never be as STRONG as Darth Vader."
The desire to KILL him runs like lava through her veins as she resists him. Yet, deep down, she fears she does NOT have what it takes. Her own porcelain fingers curl inwards in a MOVE not unlike his own.
Then she hears a refrain. One she suspects is rattling around in his own mind. "You're just a CHILD in a mask." The words are uttered from an unfettered tongue. Her eyes fixate upon him, hoping that she had struck HALF the nerve he had with her. "Deep down," she starts in a falsified bravado, "you KNOW you'll NEVER be him." As soon as her words fade into the air around them, she swallows GUILTILY. It may be the truth. She still didn't have to take such delight in wounding another HURTING creature, even if he was a MONSTER.
