he's  not  sure  what  could  be  so  interesting  about  his  arm.  he's  honestly  never  given  much  thought  to  it.  it's  just  sort  of  there  when  he  needs  to  use  it.  he  supposes  it  could  be  something  to  wonder  at,  it  is  pretty  helpful  now  that  he  thinks  about  it.  a  friendly  smile  appears  on  his  face  when  her  eyes  find  his  and  his  shoulders  shrug  gently.  ❛ i'm  not  sure  what  you're  looking  for  but  i  hope  you  find  it. ❜

Hook sat in the silence, a solitary shadow in the belly of a wooden beast.

The crew had been dismissed to their personal affairs after the kidnapping, and all the needs for the lady had been laid out in her cell: the best food and wine he could offer.

He smoked his cigar holder, his lips pursing around the edge with a tighter grip than usual. What he did was cruel, but it was a necessary cruelty. Pan alone held the gift to eternal youth, and he probably gained it without even meaning to!

Outside, the stars twinkled on a cloudless night. The smoke twirled, and if he squinted right he could see everything he fear come to pass in it.

A stirring from the cell. It was time.

"Good evening, Miss Darling. I apologize for the rudeness, but we needed to talk and you are a hard woman to pin down."

       Clearly not listening or paying attention to what was happening around him as he danced around the cauldron before him- Mateo continued on as normal even if he was aware of her presence. A simple pause to adjust his headphones before going right back to work- continuing to ignore her while he went about his business...

      Until he got frustrated and felt her eyes on him after a while which caused him to pull one of his headphones out to address her.

        “....Use your eyes, I’m working on a potion.” Because seeing what he could extract from a potion made of loose fur he found from Ramshackle’s cat was a usual activity.

     He took this as opportunity to take his phone out and rapidly press the skip button to find new music to listen to and completely ignore his so called audience.

        “Anything else before I go back to ignoring you? Like I was before I couldn’t ignore you anymore?”

he can see the nerves pouring out of her and he can understand it. he knew she was still nervous when speaking publicly to the kingdom but these kind of events were great practice for her. brown eyes follow her as she paces throughout her room and mumbles to herself.

a light chuckle escapes his lips as he makes his way over to her, hands grasping at her shoulders to bring her to a gentle stop. fingers move to push a piece of her hair behind her ears before they linger against her cheek and urge her to look at him. his fingertips lightly brushing against her cheek. ❝ what's going on in that brain of yours blondie? ❞

“I think the same or just at the very least maybe I would set him on my head.”

What a strange thing to say, however, whilst in this world Yuu had played witness to many different things that would border on the odd spectrum in her own. Magic was real, people who were part animal were real, fairies and pixies were real and so much more that if she attempted to explain it to someone of her home world she'd be locked away in some sort of asylum for certain.

Truly it was as the woman said, beastmen that were a split off of a type of mouse lingered the halls of NRC and the pumpkins had seemingly come to life on the night of Halloween. Idia and Ortho Shroud even becoming pumpkin-like creatures. It was a frightening concept but at the same time also rather intriguing to some degree as well.

"It's interesting what the magic of this world can do, I sometimes find myself wishing I could preform such feats myself."

She was not a natural part of this world though, so it was noting more than a fleeting dream that perhaps made her sound childish to those around her.

"The concept of magic is a considered an act of illusion in my own world. Those we call magicians more of tricking your mind than performing anything like you do here."

bare feet quickly padded across the floor as she went to find Eric, leaving mini pools of water in her wake. Luckily she bothered to remember a makeshift dress that was soaked as everything else. In her arms was an assortment of treasures: gems, coral, sea glass, even an encrusted dagger. They’re all gifts for the prince once she located him! @valiantroyalty

The constraints of life in the palace often chafed at Eric, Life aboard a ship made much more sense to him, but he was a prince and, as such, had responsibilities.

But Ariel made this life a little more bearable.

Looking up when she came into the room, the dark-haired prince smiled.
