Alright, I've touched on this briefly. But, since I know no one saw it, I'll put it here in this answer
Tara is not the greatest with stress by any means. With everything in her life she experienced; Her parents' divorce, strange relationship with her mom, her brother going missing, things like that. It was by word of mouth around Playtime that she wasn't really doing so hot
While she isn't a tobacco consumer, she DOES puff a small bit of cannabis to calm down. & it isn't even alot, just a tiny joint & that's it. It works better then she thought, & she calms down that way. If you knew her outside of work, you'll know she was a bit of a stoner. She's mellowed out now, but she still does have one every once in a while just to unwind But, due to being back in the factory, she hasn't had a chance to get one yet. So, that's another thing-
So, that's how she relaxes. To think she got away with it as much as she did in pre HOJ times is actually kinda funny XD
I'm blaming Silver for this idea of them, I'm just doing their first interaction (Porcelain Wings: PPT side story) (Source: Sam and Cat)
Harley: I.....I thought you girls were fighting.
Tara: Fighting?
Lynn: Why would we be fighting?
Harley: Well......You're both antisocial misfits filled with anger & rage.
Tara: Wh– is that why you haven't invited me over ever since she moved back in?
Lynn: & why you never wanted me to meet her?
Harley: Well, yes......
Tara: Pfft. What did you think would happen?
Harley: .........Murder? :/
Tara: .......*Turns to Lynn* Do you wanna murder me?
Lynn: Well, I.......No, I'm good. ------------------------------------------------------- So, this side story of these guys outside of the factory is an entirely different au to the ones Silver & I currently have of Lynn & Tara, one where they exist in the same place. I still have yet to come up with a name for it, but if it gets off the ground more, I'll do more of this

This is something I just noticed with my moots (I guess this could also count as a moot appreciation post, too)
In my defense, I still haven't found an excuse to use that other persona you guys saw maybe once. She's been sitting in my nebula slots for maybe two years, & I haven't deleted her since I love her design IDK when I'll start using her, but just know she's still there when that eventually comes. If it even comes at all

I knocked out that persona design for Silver pretty quickly, cuz I was really in the zone
But, despite all of the old jokes I make, I genuinely want my insanely talented mutual to have the greatest birthday ever, so I made a proper b-day post for her 30 & still kicking! I'm so proud!

Here's some facts about Porcelain Wings (Light Mother of Dolls spoilers???)
Harley is still human in this au, & given how he & Lynn are still father & daughter, that means the human design used for this au is Silver's design. Lynn was just conceived properly instead of the way we know from Silver's Mother of dolls story (Which is peak & you need to read it if you haven't-) Keeping that in mind, Harley & the unnamed mother are separated but never been divorced. She's just off doing her own thing on business stuff, & that's fine! Wonder why she hasn't come back yet, when they know she's alive & well, & even thriving. Couldn't be that she ditched them, right?
Most of the experiments managed to escape the factory & made Lynn's folks' lake house as their brand new Safe Haven. Primary examples of this are Chum, Giblet, Mommy long legs, Dogday, Doey, Poppy, Huggy, & Kissy only to name a few With that information, it also confirms that The Hour of Joy never happened. At least not by the participants we know, since The Prototype was still pulling some strings. It's just that they never saw any casualties & just noticed a bunch of people missing after August 8th, 1995
Even though HOJ didn't entirely happen, The Toy war absolutely still happened. THAT was the turning point for the toys that made them want to fuck off & get out of the factory
PJ & Yarnaby are still very good subordinates to Tara & Harley, only thing is that they live with their respective master. So, it's very interesting having a purple & blue pug-a-pillar & a giant lion with a rainbow yarn mane for pets, but it beats a regular pug & cat any day!
There's still gonna be alot of SecurityAngel in this au, only thing is that it's more of a behind closed doors/old co-workers with lasting benefits/lingering tension sorta vibe with Harley & Tara instead of the star crossed lovers/forever one-sided stuff we see from the main au
The reason why Harley's still human in this au is because he quit working at the factory before he could be turned into the experiment we know him as. But, trust me. They got VERY close. Now, he's just using his doctorate for something better, but that personality hasn't changed one bit. Just softened a little, is the best way to put it (He was stoked to get back into the medical/scientist world, BTW)
Although, Harley DID conduct one last experiment as a final middle finger to Leith & the others just before he left for what they almost did. Which was turn Leith into a toy & left him there as the few remaining experiments fending for themselves there. & THEN, he quit. Which explains why he was still alive during HOJ when he wasn't an experiment
Tara's brother is still an experiment himself, but he also found his way out, as well. & is still doing just fine with his big sister as if nothing changed
Lynn & Tara are in the same band called Techno Babel. It was Lynn's idea to bring Tara on board to get her out of her comfort zone with singing, & look at Tara now
The Prototype was LIVID to know Poppy had escaped to the outside world, & Chum basically told him to go fuck himself by leaving, too but is also aware he too can't leave the factory for similar reasons. He continues to experiment & make Outimals & stuff, but he never truly stopped planning on how to get Poppy back. Not that they have much to worry about with Doey around
Lynn still has the nerve damage & leg brace before the Poppy gel started doing its thing. Since she's a pure human, that was just something that happened to her, causing her to have those defects
Lynn's folks (Baba Jacob & Granny Jean) absolutely adore Tara, & always send her off with gifts & surprises for her & PJ when they come over. Jacob especially just loves the crap out of Tara, which Lynn thinks is so fun (Tell me those two wouldn't hit it off, I dare you) Considering how this implies they're still around, they also don't mind the experiments that showed up after knowing their stories & how they escaped the factory, so they basically didn't bat an eye & asked what clothes they need & what they wanted for dinner, as simple as that. No ifs, ands, or buts, & not a single bat of an eye
Remembering her time working at Playtime & how Lynn was as a child, Harley was really terrified for if & when they met since he was worried they would kill each other. & obviously, they clicked instantly. So, that Sam & Cat incorrect quote post is more canon then I realized at the time LMFAO
Other toys like Leith, The Prototype, Catnap, Lily, Mini Wuggs, Pianosaurus, Miss Delight, & the Outimals are the only ones still locked away in the darkest parts of the surprisingly still open, but slowly dying, factory. Since HOJ never really happened, they're just sorta vibing now, & not surviving. Though, some have it way worse then others do.....
Glowby is still around, it's just something Tara uses the most. It's also the only thing in this side story that's the most true to its canon in-game version
Mommy long legs still has Daddy & Baby, BTW, those two are fine. Mommy knows they're alright, just in a stuck place trying to get out of the factory themselves. They're working on it, though! & first chance they get, they're going straight to her, which is something she's very excited about
Tara absolutely beat the shit out of Lynn's ex when she told her about him, that's non-negotiable. Lynn only got her to stop when she was worried Tara was gonna kill him
This side story is a mix "The Doctor's daughter" au of Silver's story & a What if HOJ never happened sorta thing. With this, Lynn & Harley's relationship is about as fine as you'd expect from polar opposites (But, still two sides of the same coin) like them. Does that make sense? Also, here's the MasterList that features the three part au story if you don't know WTF I'm talking about-
All the experiments that escaped KNOW Harley's still around & are still very weary of him, & he also knows that. Which is why he's staying in his own lane for that very reason. Plus, he's not risking getting on Doey's bad side. He's a scientist, not reckless
Even though Playtime is still considered operational, Tara still hasn't gone back since she still believes that place needs to be buried & forgotten. She's got PJ, Yarnaby, Harley, Lynn, & her brother, why bother going back?
Lynn & Tara's friendship is literally just Jade & Sam's friendship. I won't elaborate ------------------------------ If @silversongmonster wants to add onto this with any other facts or ideas, they're more then welcome to (Don't know their pronouns & also don't wanna assume, sorry </3)
Either way, you can tell I'm having more fun with this then you think LOL Also, bear with me, coming up with titles is hard-
