It’s fun that Colin would fit so perfectly in Dungeons and Dragons as a Tempest Cleric of Valkur because he’s a sailor saved from death by supernatural albatrosses who gave him power to control the weather and a mission to go out and do good in the world. Valkur canonically uses albatrosses as messengers and as his preferred animal form, his colors are blue and white, and he sends auroras as a symbol of his favor.
(Although he probably couldn’t be from “fake New Zealand” because Toril doesn’t have a canonical “Oceania”. There’s an “Australia” and an “Americas” but no Forgotten Realms material has really addressed any islands that might or might not be in the Western Ocean between them.)
