Friendly little reminder

That in the Valkyrie AU, Reader is still gender neutral. I'm aware that valkyries are roles set for women within the actual myths but I, frankly, do not care and made the Reader gender neutral anyway.

That and I made the 7 headwardens valkyries too because I can, and I will. I'm already gender nonconforming, so it's going to show up in my works as well.

When you said the boys could become yandere in the Valkyrie Au,is it because,aside from the experiences they have in that life, they're also getting a sense of familiarity because of the multiple encounters across lifetimes? And with that,they get the idea that them meeting and being together is "meant to be"?

Yeah it's possible. That and because I like to experiment with "what-ifs" mostly. It's fun for me! They do get dreams and flashes of memories that quickly come and go. Easily dismissed as dreams. That's why I said possible, cause I want people to experiment with me.

And also the Reader here is equally untouchable on the account that they're real powerful and they're stuck in mortal bodies until the Reader decides they're ready to have their powers back.

What's the reader's plan after the the guys become humbler? Like they keep being reincarnated and protected from being used as pawns for the gods for eternity?

Basically, to draw out this war into a stalemate, to such an extent that no singular Great God can win and gain control of the throne. One they become humbler, Reader will grant them a decision to either return to the services of the Great God with their powers and all to hopefully keep their Great God in check, or, they can permanently become their einherjar, to under the command of the Reader and the Reader only. Free from being a pawn in the Great Seven Gods game.

The end of the world isn't something one can prevent, it will happen eventually, but the Reader has no intention of rushing the world to it's end for the sake of grabbing the throne and being in charge of what the new world will look like.

The Valkyries are the ones that supply the Great Gods their armies, and the gods themselves don't want to fight on the forefronts themselves because gods can destroy other gods. Point being, The Valkyries are the key to starting and preparing for a world ending war they wish to wage, and the Reader took them away along with their armies.

Because all the boys go through multiple lives, it's entirely possible for one of them to end up obsessing over the Valkyrie Reader. Possibilities people, they are endless.

So if the OB boys were originally gods who eventually became Valkyries and were struck down by reader (which is the lore you’re implying I think??), are the other souls (like Trey) their Einherjar that they picked up during their duties on Midgard or other godly followers?

Short answer, yes they are on Midgard. Further details in the cut below.

Yup, they're on Midgard. Reader did not spare them either, though at least most of them were willing to go. Valkyries are, in this AU, a sort of extension to the Great Seven Gods that are fighting for the empty throne. And, well, because the seven Valkyries were not good people, it makes sense to be suspicious of the einherjar that they all have gathered. So, the minute that the reader managed to take them down and absorb their power, with their new authority, they demanded the einherjar to either return to Midgard to be reborn, or be cut down and banished from this realm.

And now, Reader is the sole valkyrie left to pick up new einherjar to add to the armies of the Great Seven Gods. This Reader, in comparison to my other readers, is a bit of a stiff and strict figure, aren't they?

Ok so for the most recent leona atory when on the timeline is it? Where the boys born valkaries or himans turned to valkaried that mc had to strike down becayse they fucked up and then reincarnate. I think i understand that mc gained a color on thwir feathers when they defeated (?) one of the 7. If this is spoilers feel free to ignore im just very curious about this au

I do have a hard time distinguishing what is spoilers and what is not since I'm very eager to talk about my au's. Buuut just in case, I'll put them under a cut.

As for the timeline stuff, no clue my dude. We're exploring multiple reincarnated lives here so I'm highly unlikely to keep track. Doesn't help that they're not all reincarnated at the same time. Thought groups such as Heartslabyul and Savanaclaw and others will usually have their dorm leaders and students born around the same period. Fate is funny like that, never separating them.

The best way I can answer the timeline stuff is that is been a long while. This is not readers first time meeting Leona, though this is probably the youngest they've ever talked to him. They've seen him in a different life as a baby, but that's about it.

They are natural born valkyries, never having set foot upon the land of Midgard until the start of their Valkyrie duties. As such, they had the arrogance expected of a God. In fact, this arrogance is exactly what led to the reader striking them down, as their methods of collecting Einherjar and treatment of said mortals disgusted the reader.

Godly souls are distinct in that they don't enter the cycle of reincarnation. Typically if you want a God to be gone, you'd have to destroy their souls, which only another God can do. However, the reader instead takes the path of having them be forced to live a mortal life until they have learned to respect the mortals below. However, as stated before, godly souls don't usually reincarnated into mortal bodies, at least not naturally. A God can have their bodies cut down as many times as they'd like, but they will always recover and go back to normal rather than start from zero like rebirth. Immortality is a bitch like that when you don't mess with the soul. Hence why godly souls don't reincarnate, as they have no need to.

So, as in the prologue, the reader makes a deal with the devil of sorts. Dire Crowley is a rather fickle crow who holds Fate's Keys, as such, he has the power to meddle with fate to a certain extent. The reader, after striking down all of the seven valkyries, absorbed their power so that they may not recover their bodies, which leads to their rainbow colored wings. The deal made was, obviously, have these 7 souls reincarnate in mortal bodies.

It's one thing to ask for a mortal soul to reincarnate, it's another to ask for a godly soul be born in a mortal body. Hence the price of giving a feather, giving a piece of those 7 valkyries power to help ensure the smoothness of this journey. Dire Crowley, as a crow, does love his carrion after all. If it was any other person asking for this huge favor, he'd have asked them to give him a piece of their soul instead, but the reader is obviously favored so they get a workaround.

In the Valkyrie AU, the reader is still gender neutral, as evidenced by the fact the other dorm leaders used to be valkyries in the prologue before the reader struck them down. So, in this AU, valkyries can be male, female, non binary or anywhere on the gender queer spectrum. Certainly doesn't stop me from imagining myself as a valkyrie on the account that I'm writing it.
