Alicia leaned against the bar at the Underground. She and the blonde had worked similar shifts for awhile now and Alicia was starting to like her. Their conversations were amusing. Muffy was chatty, something the witch wasn’t typically a fan of, but with that came gossip and she loved gossip. Who didn’t?

“And please tell me you have something interesting to tell me. This night has been a bore.”

[ ♥ ] — Roommates.

These days, it was such a foreign concept to Felicity. For the last several years of her life, she had always lived alone. Her lifestyle was a rather busy one, always filled with work and travel, and she rarely had any time to truly settle down in one place for long, let alone have a roommate or companion to share the experience with.

But now that she was back in Leuda, back home, she didn’t feel so great a need to strike out and make a name for herself anymore. She already had a brand as V. Chere the food critic, and had seen so many places, tasted so many foods, and met with so many people throughout her years of travel. Experiences that she could have only imagined as a child, in her wildest of dreams.

She’s lived a fulfilling life, with much more to come. But for now, perhaps it wouldn’t be such a bad idea to start planting some roots.

So when she sees an ad for a roommate in one of the local apartment complexes, a residence much more permanent than the temporary hotel room she had been living in, Felicity decides to take it. It was a good start, considering she didn’t have the money for a house yet. Or an apartment of her own, even.

After talking with the woman who posted the request -- a charming lady by the name of Muffy -- they make dates, set up arrangements, and in a week’s time, Felicity is moving her things into Inner Apartments Room A201.

“And I believe that’s about it!” Felicity announces, bringing the last of her suitcases in. She had many of them, most either filled with clothes or cookbooks. “All that’s left is packing, but I’ll save that for later.” She giggles, turning to Muffy. “Merci beaucoup! This wouldn’t have gone as smoothly without your help, Muffy.”

Spreading the Joy || Inner Apts.

[ ☀ ] — Since Lillie’s budget was already pretty tight, she couldn’t go all out on her holiday shopping the way she wanted to. That was why she opted to fall back on the trusty old crutch of homemade gifts-- or more specifically, in her case, homemade treats.

After making a few goodies she was planning on sending back to her father and sister in Oak Tree, Lillie makes a few extra for her roommate and neighbors in the Inner Apartments. Some of them she knew, while others were complete strangers to her, but what she wanted for each and every one of them was all the same: a happy and festive holiday.

So she sends batches of snowball cookies, cake mix cookies made with cream cheese and coated in powdered sugar, to each of their residences with a small note attached.

It might be cold outside, but I hope these cookies fill you with lots of warmth! Happy Holidays!

It’s a Date || Sam & Muffy

The bar stool creaked as Sam propped himself up on it, the low music of the night club lulling him into a sense of security. He ordered his usual jack and coke, watching one of the bartenders work her magic, mixing all kinds of drinks for the other people along the bar.

He let his cheek rest on his hand, as he patiently waited for her to walk his way. She was the girl from the Harvest Festival. He’d only been able to dance with her for a short time before the whole announcement of the shrine being on fire slowed things down.

He’d never really thought of a way to pay her back, like he said he would, until today. So here he was, waiting for her to make her way over to him so he could let her know of his little proposal.

Christmas Treats || Felicity & Muffy

[ ♥ ] — Felicity wasn’t sure what Muffy’s plans for the holidays were, but whatever she had set up wouldn’t stop the waitress from giving her lovely roommate a gift! She had only known the woman for a few months, but Muffy had been a wonderful roommate and friend in the short time Felicity’s known her, and she hoped it would continue long into the new year.

“Merry Christmas!” She greets as the other woman steps into the living room, beaming as she gestures to the French Apple Cake and bottle of Sauvignon Blanc on the table. Much like Felicity herself, the actress had a fondness for sweets and wine, so she figured this would make a nice gift.
