A Mourning Warning Snippet
“I wasn’t expecting that to literally blow up in my face,” Garreth chuckled.
“Is this funny to you?” Percival whirled around to glare at him.
“A little?” Garreth admitted, now looking much less sure of himself under Percival’s glare.
“This is not funny,” Percival exclaimed. “And clearly neither are you.”
“I am plenty funny,” Garreth argued. Then his abashed look turned into a smirk and Percival already dreaded whatever was about to come out of his mouth. “In fact, I bet I can get you to laugh by the end of the year.”
“You know what? Deal,” Percival replied. ”I’m pretty confident considering *your* idea of funny got Idris in trouble! You even managed to get *me* in trouble and I wasn’t involved.”
“I am sorry about that,” Garreth admitted. “Hopefully he’ll forget about it soon. Sharp may seem gruff but I’d bet a few galleons he blew up a potion or two in his day.”
“I don’t care,” Percival shook his head. “Just, leave me out of your idiotic plans next time. I don’t even want to know about it.”
“You got it,” Garreth muttered, freeing Percival to start packing up his things.
