I was talking with my cousin about creative processes in the car today, and now im curious to hear yours.
For me i very much go heres my starting point and heres my end goal, what do i need to do in the middle? Amd then it's a step by step process from there, thats why i thrive in more physical art forms.
He's more musically inclined and he described it as you have a starting point and you evolve it til your happy or you've learned.
I want to hear about your take on the creative process and how you do it.
Funny how this ends up being an Artist, a musician, and a writer's point of view. /I know you also write but shhhhh/
For me, a lot of it is having this set idea I want to make from there it depends.
If I can write something in one piece, I will just write down that idea. Often that ends up leading to more writing. I either come back to it later because I don't think I did good enough and still like the concept, like the writing enough to refine it, or it turns into a bigger idea than I started with as I get more ideas.
On the other end, if it is too big to just be one thing, I start at the beginning and work through where I want it to go. This second way is often why I lose interest in big projects because I care more about the beginning and end in most cases and have few ideas for the middle. Which means incomplete projects.
