It's important to keep in mind that Val is demiromantic, so it'll take her some time to fall in love.

First off, Val's romantic partners, in a nutshell, are divided into two categories: (1) a character I ship her with & (2) a character she fell in love with on her own.

And yes, she does eventually like a character without me knowing. I just realized it later on 🤣✨

During my first playthrough for Val, I originally shipped her with Ominis since they have a LOT in common. Or should I say they can — ✨TRAUMA BOND✨

However, the more I think about it, I feel like they would hurt each other more than help each other heal and that makes me really sad 😭

Garreth Weasley

Val and Garreth are both exceptional in potions in their own right. Despite that, I feel like Val would've developed a sense of dislike for Garreth because of the incident with Professor Sharp during their first class together.

I always saw the potential for these two as academic rivals (one-sided 😆) of sorts since they both are enthusiastic about potion-making. However, I didn't foresee that Val actually fell for Garreth, and guess what? They make such a good match 💯

Also, the more I thought about it from Val's perspective, it makes so much sense✨

All I can say is that everyday is interesting between these two 😆❤️‍🔥

For the record, I love OC x OC ships but I didn't expect that Val would get a few in a rather short period of time. Nonetheless, I'm still fluttered that some of my friends let me ship Val with their OCs! 🫂❤️‍🔥

Since this is an AU, there are slight tweaks in Val's personality. I don't think she's demiromantic in this universe since this AU is a love at first sight situation.

This was a brief ship as well but me and Cass cooked up some lore for them already. However, we eventually both agree that they won't end up together since their personalities don't mesh well. Nevertheless, they remain good friends and are happy with their new relationships.

garreth definitely fell first, that's for sure!

as for val, once she realized her heart beats for garreth, well.. girl fell HARD

then as they spend more time together after hogwarts, it's safe to say that both fell for the other really bad. so bad it's good 🤪✨

(6) THE "WORM" QUESTION 🪱

despite val needing more emotional comfort, garreth is the one who often went along with the random wave of insecurity hole.

i can imagine garreth asking this to val, and she goes like "then you'll be my favorite worm". then garreth hitting her with the "but you hate worms".

she'd most likely shushed him like this emoji 🤫 and say something like "i hate idiots but i love you". then proceeds to burst out a quick hearty laugh and cuddles him 🫂

(9) HOW WOULD THEY SIT IF THERE AREN'T ENOUGH SEATS?

they both offer the other to take the seat, but it ends up with val getting the seat while garreth just sits on the floor.

garreth would sit first and give her the look 👀 and val, this kid won't even hesitate to sit on the added layer of the 'chair'.

val: beside his good looks, she has always been *secretly* a sucker for his chaotic dumbass energy. it's garreth's passion for doing what he loves (potion-making) and his perseverance that makes val go 😳✨

that and what he looks like while he makes them potions 🤪

garreth: despite him worrying a lot about val's 'adventures', he does find it hot that she can take care of herself and *coughs* the disheveled look after combating merlin knows who or what.
