Marvel celebrated the 300th Issue of Thor with a cover date of October 1980. The issue introduced the Council of God-Heads (Buluku, Ulgen, Ukko, Manitou, Nuada, Kane, Viracocha, Izanagi, Okonorote, Tomazooma - already existed in the MU, Vishnu, Yu Huang, Anu, Ammon Ra, Tezcatlipoca, Itzamna, Buddha, Zues - already existed in the MU, Svarog), Young Gods (Brightsword - already in MU, Caduceus, Calculus, Daydreamer, Genii- already in MU, Harvest - already in MU, Highnote, Mindsinger, Moonstalker, Sea Witch, Splice, Varua) and the races Akua, Apu, Amatsu-Kami, Daevas, Xian, Teteoh, Ahua, and Dievas.
