The Eon sat alone at what she now considered her booth as she traced her paw on the edge of what was her fifth glass of that “Pink Lover’s Delight” drink. She hated Pinkan berries. The flavor always reminded her of how easy everything used to be. Summers spent with her father running free around the forested base of Mt. Coronet. Him spoiling her with treats and gifts he had gotten from wandering trainers. How carefree everything was. How simple it all was.
Seeing her mother prance around and mingle with all of these pokemon, trying to set her up with anyone who would listen...It had all fallen apart. She rubbed at her eyes, the light of the lounge and the obsessive shades of pink not doing anything to help her oncoming headache. With a huff, she sat up from her seat, wobblily wandered over to her mother, and dragged her aside.
Mirren: “Mother, do you remember when I said if this didn’t work out I wanted to leave? Well, I’d like to go. Now”
Mercy: “Oh, but the party is still young, Little Dear! Maybe have another drink, or talk with others! Enjoy yourself more!”
Mirren’s paw slamming against the floor quickly broke Mercy’s happy go lucky attitude.
Mirren: “WON’T YOU LISTEN TO ME?!?!”
Mirren’s gems glowed brightly as she growled. The Umbreon’s ears folded back and she slummed away from her daughter. Mirren took a few breaths to compose herself, her gems returning to their dormant state, before speaking once again.
Mirren: “Mother, I...Listen...I understand you’re trying to help, but this isn’t helping. I know I’m of age, but I...You must understand the pressure I’m under. The responsibility have. I know you understand...I know it helps but I just...I don’t have much interest in a relationship. I’ll figure something else out, but this? I’m done with this...”
Mirren: “I...I’m going back to the forest, alright. You can stay as long as you’d like, but I just want to go home. I’ll see you again soon, okay? I love you...”
The Eon was hesitant, but gently gave her mother a loving nuzzle, before being pulled into a tight hug. She was surprised, but leaned into it. The scent of her mother easing her nerves.
Mercy: “O-oh...You’ve grown so much my sweet Little Dear...I love you too...Get home safely...”
Mirren nodded as she returned the hug. The two sat there as they embraced for a moment or two, before Mirren headed off. Mercy sat there alone for a moment, before a slender, pink tail wrapped around hers
???: “My my, she’s grown into quite the woman, hasn’t she?”
Mercy: “Mmm...She has indeed. I believe she’s ready...Would you agree, my sweet?”
???: “Indeed. Yeshua and his friend are not far behind either. Everything is coming together it seems. But enough about work...”
Mercy is unavailable for asks. Mirren has left the Valentine’s Event.
