The correct answer to this post's question was the fact that Pokemon X was released in 2013* and that, yes, it took me over a decade to finish the game. I found my old 3DS and on it was my old X save... Young Mina had stopped right after beating Lysandre. It felt only right to take the team she had and make them champions. Here they are: 12 year old Mina's pride and joy, now fully realized.
