          ‘ clearly it broke on it’s own. ancient vampire artifacts just aren’t made like they’re used to. ‘ thalia huffed, shooting a quick glare his way before picking up the jewelry box. the clasp had broken off the moment she picked it up, but there was something strange about it. maybe there was a false bottom or a hidden puzzle somewhere like in all those movies she watched when she decided to stay in for an evening.

          ‘ something probably did. i haven’t been back here since i was turned. ‘ thankfully, human her didn’t usually stock the refrigerator, so there didn’t seem to be any smells coming from there. she wasn’t looking to clean though, more just grab some of the belongings that had been left behind.

           unfortunately, human thalia didn’t seem to pick up after herself either. she cracked opened the door to pile of laundry that she had probably been meaning to clean when she got home from her date that went south. grimacing, she moved to the closet instead. ‘ turns out apartments that lacroix doesn’t pay for don’t come with their own furniture. so i need to reclaim a few things. ‘

her second worst nightmare has come true. somehow ruby has ended up in a town full of almost nothing but hunters. this means hidden devil’s traps inside the doorway of every store, drinks laced with holy water, and iron threaded through places no one would expect. a town engineered to bite her in the ass. so her first call, to ash, sounds something like this:

“can you meet me at the gas station on the corner of 4th and williamson? i can’t go inside, and i really need booze. please? i’m desperate.”
