a/n: so sorry for making you wait so long </3 hope you like it!
he knew you were the one, his soulmate, the first time he smelled you. your blood was sweeter than everyone else’s, it left a tingly sensation in his body that he’d never felt before — he was addicted to you without even seeing you.
you were in the library searching for a specific book for your assignment. no one except the librarian was there considered the late hour. “y/n… i’ll have to lock up soon, have you found it yet?” the old lady, mrs. lee, was always kind to you, letting you stay longer than opening hours because she knew you from when you were young.
you used to run around the sections, your hand touching every book on the shelves in your height, making her laugh to herself as she scanned the books. when you became older you used to ask her if she needed any help and even worked there a few hours every week.
you shook your head, “no… i can’t seem to find it…” your eyes were scanning the descriptions of every book that caught your attention, “well, sweetie, do you want to lock up? i have to go home.” her voice was raspy, which you loved because it was comforting to hear, “yeah, i’ll do that… i’m so sorry for keeping you up, mrs. lee.” you received a smile and a nod as a response while she put the keys on the table, “take care, y/n.”
niki was waiting outside after hearing your conversation. this would be the perfect moment. as the old lady walked down the stairs, niki passed through the door before it closed. you were still looking for that specific book and he thought you were so beautiful. lucky him. the sweet smell became much stronger and his addiction became even worse but he had to get to his senses before approaching you. with a deep breath and a knock on the table he caught your attention, “hello… i know it’s supposed to be closed but i just have to find this specific book.” your wide eyed resembled the ones of an innocent lamb, “y- yeah… alright.”
he walked slowly through the sections, hand touching the backs of the books carefully, barely grazing them, “what are you doing here so late, anyway?” he asked, needing to hear your soft voice once more. you put back the book you were holding, “i have an assignment due in a couple of weeks… can’t seem to find the right book.” you let out a sigh before deciding it was time to go home. niki walked up to you, careful enough not to scare you, “maybe i can help you?” his hand went up to rest on your shoulder, causing you to freeze, “what are you looking for?” your throat was uncomfortably dry and you tried to walk away from the strange boy, “uhm… i should go home…”
you didn’t get home that night, and the keys were left on the table the morning after. niki had taken you home to his house, determined to make you his as the gods had written it.
