“You have to invite me inside,” Barty said quietly.
“No way. Just leave me here,” James said defiantly, attempting to wiggle out of Barty’s arms before a sharp pain ran through his arm and he yelped.
“James, I can help heal you but I need to get you inside where others can’t hurt you. I’m not kidding, I can hear at least four of them that have tracked us here. You’re like a fucking pie sitting on an open kitchen window.”
“Please stop comparing me to food.”
“Then invite me inside, you absolute asshole,” Barty growled and James heard the snap of a twig from the yard.
