I’m tired of vampire narratives where the vampires are dismissive of humans because they regard them as animals: ‘oh, they’re just swine, cattle, sheep etc’. Last I heard, a pig would happily eat a downed human if it had the chance; a cow and definitely a bull could gore or trample you if it wanted to and a lot of them stampeding would reduce you to paste; rams during the breeding season and ewes with lambs will headbutt or kick the crap out of you if you get too close.
Give me a vampire narrative where the vampire has a healthy respect and dread of humans because they regard them as animals.
