Wolf House (The Kiera Hudson Series) Book Five

Compared to the other books in The Kiera Hudson series, Wolf House takes a brand new turn. This time, the book being completely Potter’s story. Throughout the series, it has become far too obvious that Potter keeps things bottled up and has a lot of secrets that even he has forgotten. This story takes you back to when he first met Murphy and Luke, and how he had found his first attraction since Sophie, and no that attraction is not Kiera not just yet anyway. But a young Lycanthrope named Madison. Murphy, Luke, and Potter have been called in on a murder case, when they arrive at the scene three police officers are already there, Drake, Madison, and Harker. Whom all are soon revealed as Lycanthrope (werewolves). In exchange for the lives of Murphy and Luke, Potter must help Madison and Drake discover a wolf child killer, who has been wandering into the small village of Little Hope and stealing the children before bringing them back into his/her’s “Wolf House” hence the title of the book. 

This time around you discover and learn more about Potter’s relationship with Sophie and the night his secret he had been keeping from her was revealed. And the true reason for the way he is. 

Prepare yourself for a lot of plot twists, gasps, and the secrets being revealed. Believe me, a number of times I held my Kindle down in shock at what I had just figured out, is uncountable. This book leaves you hanging once again as Potter is still on his journey to rescue Luke from the Zoo, with that aching feeling in his heart and mind about who Kiera will choose. Himself or charming and innocent Luke? 

I have blown away with Potter's story and secrets. Believe me, if you have ever watched shows like The Vampire Diaries and found yourself being unsure about Damon but as soon as you learn his secrets you prefer him over Stefan. You will love this! Believe me, at first I wanted Kiera well away from Potter and for her to just be with Luke. But after reading more about Potter and learning about who he is, over the last few books. Kiera and Potter are my latest ship. No kidding. 

Because the book ended so well, and with such a cliffhanger that still left me with my eyes and mouth wide open in shock, I instantly bought the sixth book "Vampire Hallows" and I guarantee that the review on that book will be out soon. Because this guy does not disappoint when it comes to his incredible work at making us truly addicted to his books.

Currently Reading

Currently reading the fourth book in the Kiera Hudson series. I am Going, to be honest, that wasn’t meant to happen I was really only meant to read to the end of the third book. Then I was going to read The Girl on The Train and do a review on that. But nope Tim O'Rourke had to make this series so addicting and leave the third book on such a cliffhanger I had literally no excuse but to read the fourth.

Vampire Wake Book Two - Review

Vampire Wake is book two in the Kiera Hudson series written by Tim O'Rourke. The first book left me on such a cliffhanger I instantly bought the second book out of curiosity to what happens next with the characters. Did Luke survive? Is he okay? What happens to Kiera? Does her life just return to normal? So many questions that needed to be answered instantly for me. At the start of the book we find Kiera in a therapist office going through one of her weekly sessions, we discover that since returning home from the Ragged Cove from a series of traumatic events she has tried to tell her co-workers of what happened in the small village only for them to believe her to be insane and suspend her for the time being until she recovers. Meaning weekly therapy sessions for a continuous amount of nightmares that have suddenly occurred, which often cause her to wake up in the middle of the night with small specks of blood dripping down from her left eye. Nightmares that cause her to wake up in shock due to how real they feel inside her head, nightmares of the vampyrus race taking over the world and turning countless amounts of humans into vampires. But what confuses Kiera even more about these nightmares is not only do they feel so real it’s terrifying but they begin to come true. 

Kiera tries to get back out there and use her incredible gift of seeing to solve cases. Cases start off small in her tiny village such as finding sweet little Mrs. Lovelace’s wedding ring. But then a rich middle-aged woman shows up in the middle of the night to Kiera’s flat asking for Kiera to take care of her troubled teenage daughter, with a very peculiar story, her daughter Kayla might be being watched by someone who lurks in their Manor’s bushes watching her daughter at night. Kiera agree’s to Mrs. Hunt’s request as the case is too good to turn down, she gets driven five hours to Hallowed Manor a large mansion with no electricity and the old fashioned way of candles to give light, a manor that has a forbidden floor and staff that wander around the manor late at night. 

This vampire/drama/romance story is just getting better and better and it goes on. The new characters being brought in with incredible secrets that you are just dying to know. The questions get answered but Kiera gets placed inside a love triangle she never wished to be a part off. The ending it chilling and leaves you hanging on such a cliffhanger it is impossible not to read more. But there is one question during this book that I questioned until I found the answer. What is on the forbidden floor?
