Trafiq Cafe & Bakery
Local people love Trafiq’s beautiful layered cakes, hand made pastries and breads. It is a cozy bakery located at around Main st. & 24th ave., opening 9am-6pm every day.
Actually, I’m neighborhood of this cafe and had been very curious since I first passed through it because it is always busy with locals! They enjoy its amazing breakfast, branch, cakes with coffee or tea.
I had “Chocolate Decadence” (the chocolate cake on the right side in the picture below) and my friends had a kind of tiramisu cake (the center one, I forgot the exact name) and “Chunky Monkey” (the left one).
The chocolate cake I ordered had layers of bitter-sweet chocolate mousse covered in dark chocolate ganache. Chocoholics should love it.
The tiramisu one was a seasonal cake. Its coffee-flavored layer and mascarpone one were well-harmonized.
Chunky Monkey, I had never had such a moist pastry. It was like a banana bread but I felt as if I had a real banana because of its strong banana-flavor and moisture. Actually, it is a croissant bread pudding.
Have you already realized their sizes? Please look at the picture carefully, comparing the size of cakes to the cups. As you can see, one slice is very tall and big! If you can’t finish it, of course you can take leftover home. Also they serve lovely mini tarts & square cakes.
Queen Elizabeth Park, a huge and beautiful park, is about a 10-minute walk from it. Taking and having the cakes or pastries there would be nice.
I’ve heard their croissant sandwich is fantastic. I will try it next time!
