Who was he?

🏛️ Born: 27 June 1838, Naihati, Bengal 📚 One of the first graduates of Calcutta University 🖋️ Father of the modern Bengali novel 🇮🇳 Creator of India’s National Song — Vande Mataram

‘Vande Mataram’ — More than a song. A movement.

Composed in the 1870s 📝 Published in Bangadarshan (1875) 📰 Immortalized in Anandamath (1882) 📖

Then it changed history:

🎵 1896 — Tagore sings it at Congress 🔥 1905 — The rallying cry of Swadeshi Movement 🇮🇳 1950 — Adopted as India’s National Song

His Masterpiece — ‘Anandamath’

A novel that: ✅ Gave us Bharat Mata ✅ Inspired freedom fighters ✅ Was banned by the British!
