I love tge relationship between vanderwood and 707 (of course it's not romantic though) he takes care of him even though he looks like he had enough with him,so how about you write how they'll act if 707 was horribly sick but won't admit it even though standing is very hard and exhausting for him.(like short fic?)
I have a feeling 7 might get a stomach pain or flu if he goes on with his ungealthy diet. Let’s see what our favourite maid decides to do :3
Vanderwood had not heard anything from the troublemaker for days. No reports, no whining. Either of it was suspicious.
When the agency called him and asked specifically for the redhead, another layer of annoyance was added. It seemed like he had to act out the role of a babysitter once more. He wondered how far away from burnout he was. When he entered the heavy gate of the bunker he was welcomed by the smell his least favourite food combination: PhD Pepper and these disgusting honey buddha chips. Vanderwood didn’t waste a thought on the fact, since it had become common around the younger hacker. It seemed to be the only thing he would. Any other person would have died from malnutrition by now, but it didn’t have the same effects on agent 707. Vanderwood hurried through the bunker, looking for the agent. There was no one around. Doors were opened and closed until only one was left. The bathroom door was unlocked on less than a minute. What Vanderwood found inside was a sight he would have rather missed. The teen lay on the floor, body curled up next to the toilet. His face mirrored the pain his body signaled, and his voice was merely a crooked whisper now.
“M-Mary V..”
Before 707 finished, Vanderwood was beside him, checking pulse and blood pressure. Against the sweat covered chest, the heart was racing. The boy’s eyes followed his movements slowly, clearly exhausted. “What happened, 707? Are you poisoned or something?”, Vanderwood asked, lips pressed together. He didn’t want to be here. Sickness had always disgusted him. The smelly room and this red hair, paired with a greenish coloured face, was absolutely freaking him out. Just wait for the answer, then leave. He repeated the words several times like a mantra, still waiting for a response. Suddenly the other body twitched and flung towards the toilet before he aggressively began to gag. Vanderwood yanked back in a hurry to escape the sight and fled the room, throwing the door shut mid movement. This would definitely haunt him tonight. No wonder the room was so filthy. Immediately he checked his clothes to make sure he had not accidentally touched anything too dirty. When he recognised a stain on his pants, he hissed and hurried to the kitchen to clean it off as well as he could. The agent rubbing the stain one last time when 707 appeared in the doorstep. With white knuckles the boy gripped the door to keep himself up. It must have taken all his strength to get there.
“What are you.. Doing here..Mary?”His voice cracked again as he tried to say more, but he stopped as Vanderwood answered.
“Agency sent me. Job is overdue.”The red head frowned and doubled up again, holding his stomach. There were no words needed. The boy wasn’t in a state where he could work. Immediately he turned and made a jog for the bathroom again. All Vanderwood could do is narrow his brows and curse. What a shit crap of a situation. He knew exactly what would happen if the job wasn’t done by the night. As much as he disliked the other agent’s working morale, he couldn’t let Seven die. The agency wouldn’t accept a ’he’s ill’. These situations weren’t handled friendly. Never.Vanderwood went to check on the other once more and found him asleep in the room. Shaking his head repeatedly he made his way to the computer. As the monitors lit up, the sound of cracking fingers filled the room. Hours later the brunet stood outside the bunker and lit up a cigarette. It was more than overdue. He hadn’t hacked or coded like this for years and his brain cells were blank. Looking back he bit his lip, unable to understand why he had helped 707 out, again. There was something about him that made him feel like the boy desperately needed a mother. He really had become a babysitter.
I really like the Vandersitter stories haha. In the end he has a big heart. I hope you liked it!
