New York-based, Alt grunge/singer-songwriter, Vanessa Silberman; dubbed the “DIY queen” and “nothing less than a superhuman,” by Audiofemme, is here with a new single! Widely known for wearing many different hats in the music business, she has worked for heavy hitters, namely producer/songwriter Dr.Luke and many companies and studios ranging from the Foo Fighter’s Studio 606 to Epitaph Records.
Do you remember the fashion montage moments in the early 2000 movies? C’mon the ones where the main character would try on a bunch of outfits for their friends to see which looked best? Do you know the catchy music in the back that normally kept your attention the entire scene? That’s exactly what Vanessa Silverman did with her single Who We Are. It has the perfect throwback aesthetic. Grunge but still popular with anybody willing to listen. Who We Are is Vanessa’s first new single of 2020 via A Diamond Heart Production / Success Records. Apart from her beginning the launch of releasing one song each month, leading up to an album release by the end of the year. Who We Are, acknowledges how far we have come as human beings in our society and the world. “Who We Are makes a great case for a feel-good anthem. Staying true to her DIY roots, Who We Are (along with her other new material) is self-produced, engineered, recorded, programmed, performed, mixed and mastered by Vanessa herself. Some of the new singles will also include various featured artists. We’re loving what we’re hearing so far and we can’t wait to hear what else Vanessa has in store for us!
