augh i cant believe im done with this piece i feel like i really bled my whole heart into it 😭 mostly because of how much i relate to the message of the piece but also bc of how much i love these characters rn considering the dark place i’m in.

im really enjoying making art again on my own terms and for my own sake (spending the whole time replaying the same song and singing and crying while i work it away into something i find beautiful is actually really cathartic!). im also really enjoying experimenting with the tools i have available which isn’t something i’ve done much of in the past. i used to set these rules of what was “right” and what looked “good” and “better” when in reality i’m allowed to just do what i want because it’s fun! learning this has really helped me feel better about what i’m doing and it’s made picking up the pen much less daunting than before, where it felt like it came with a responsibility to create the “right” art.

i’m glad i get to make art again and i’m glad so many people are enjoying what i’m doing (even the fake commission bots!)
