Your post was very informative! I'm so glad you posted it because some people's opinions about the whole fan-stalking thing is just ridiculous and immature. You mentioned in your post about manager violence. I'm very sorry if you've answered an ask like this already, but could you write about it? Or send me a link to a post you've written about it if you have? I'm very curious. :)
I haven't really talked about it anywhere but Twitter, aha. I'm not sure whether you want to know about the incidents or about my opinion on the incidents, but... here's both I guess? There have been some fancams showing up lately showing groups' managers (or members of groups) getting physical with fans for various reasons... The only two I can think of right now are JYJ's Yoochun and SHINee's manager, both of whom were shown smacking fans away. I don't know the circumstances because I wasn't there, but what I've been told is that Yoochun hit the fan because she was a sasaeng who was saying things to him and I think had hit him? And SHINee's manager smacked a girl who tried to grab Jonghyun as they went through the airport. As for my opinion... honestly I don't know. I don't like violence, especially against women, and I don't think that the use of violence to solve conflicts is a good thing. But at the same time, I think idols and their managers have the right to protect themselves (or in the case of managers, their groups) from what they view as threats, particularly because sasaeng fans exist and do things like try to hurt idols just to leave a mark on them. So... I don't know. I wish that fans were well-behaved enough that it wasn't even necessary to have to defend idols like that, really. But since it's not, I guess I don't blame the managers or members for lashing out quickly to defend themselves, I just wish slapping people wasn't the go-to defense mechanism. Yaaaaah I don't know!
