This is Malog Vanthus. Malog is a title he kinda made up/kinda stole from a dark prophesy that may or may not actually be about him. He was the villain of a JRPG-type world, basically, but only really because he is very stupid and misinterprets his own loneliness as an endless hunger for power that can never be sated, and built an evil empire/tried to turn the moon into an interstellar war station about it. He’s no longer in the villain role directly, but kept the aesthetics, powers and excessive drama.
The sword thing is called Voidshear and can split into individual connected plates in the form of a whip sword, called Apolune (whip form) and Perilune (sword form) respectively. Also all the gold parts of his costume are made from metal he mined from the moon.
