hi! its cool if ur not willing to answer and give away ~forbidden knowledge~ but i made a fursuit head, and i was wondering, how do you get the eyes so clean? all of yours' eyes look so, so clean and they look very opaque. what material do you use? thanks :)
Hello! I'm always happy to share what I've learned, so no worries 😁❤️ for the eye mesh (the coloured bit that you see out of), I print directly onto buckram mesh, just using my normal inkjet printer, the same kind you'd use for printing on paper.
You can get buckram mesh from a lot of different places (here, for example - the fabric you're looking for is a thick tight mesh that almost feels plastic-y) - the trick to making the eye more opaque is to print the back of the buckram solid black (just a rectangle over where your pattern on the other side will be so you don't waste printer ink!) before you print the coloured part on the other side :) Alternatively, you can print the solid rectangle in a colour that matches the eyes (which makes the eyes look brighter/more saturated), but black/darker colours gives the most visibility for the wearer :)
Hope this helps! Feel free to ask anything, anytime, and I'll do my best to give useful answers! ☺️🫶
