Variant Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease (vCJD) is the human form of BSE, also knows as Mad Cow Disease. Not just an issue of the 1980s and 1990s, BSE is still being detected in Britain, Ireland and America, and is linked to almost 200 deaths.

The aim of this film is to highlight the story of the victims of vCJD, to examine the Governments handling of the BSE crises and to explore the ethics of the farming and food industry. As the recent horse meat scandal highlighted - do we really know what's going in our food?
