Lulz, mind my Dragonfly he was the only pet other than my rock who I felt would be fair to take on the terrain of Murkmire.

the wind feels cool & soft as it threads through her hair & tickles her neck in passing. the recent days had been mild, but summer was still palpable ; it was still warm outside, still a bit wet on the ground, & still heavy in the air. all that, but no rain for a while --- & kiyoko had heard the whispers questioning when it might come back. this was unusual for a summer here.

she hadn’t paid much mind to weather patterns before ; one check on her phone to confirm whether or not she should bring her umbrella, & that was it. but it seemed she was the only one unconcerned with the lack of rain lately ; all conversations drifted to the topic eventually, even in passing. 

‘ … it might have just been a book, but i read that when the flowers bow like this, it’s supposed to rain ... maybe not, though. the weather app is probably more reliable. ’

Okay, so this was not going as smoothly as he would’ve liked. Hanamaki was probably the least intimidating out of all the Seijoh third years, yet here he was, about to combust over asking him a simple question. Swallowing thickly, the first year rubs the back of his neck bashfully.
