day one! very difficult and a bit grindy (this was probably my 20th-30th attempt), but doable when you know your outs and still fun.
finished Chants of Sennaar (~8 hrs). 9.5/10 very fun linguistics game, with great visuals similar to Manifold Garden; but I didn't really like the stealth sequences, and the language interface (while very good) still has some potential improvements. Highly recommended for fans of Sethian, endgame TUNIC, Manifold Garden, Escher, and puzzle game fans in general.
Celeste TAS showcase tomorrow!
The Celeste 9D Moonberry + Platinum Berry Tool-Assisted Speedrun showcase will be in 18 hours from now (at 2:30pm PDT = 5:30pm EDT = 9:30pm UTC), on the CelesteCommunity twitch channel! (there will also be a youtube upload later.) Come for an entire 45 minutes of *commentated* insane gameplay on modded Celeste's largest level, Farewell D-side, which as a bonus includes (in my opinion) the best custom music of any Celeste mod.
About a year ago, I drafted parts of the new checkpoints at the end, and also did a lot of work for the first full resync of the Any% TAS (mostly setting up the framework for cross-checkpoint key/hazard cycles, and then stitching the checkpoints together with the right cycles) after the update to D-sides v4.0. It's always been a group effort, and since then many others have made much more significant contributions; I still like to think my 39 commits mean a little.
started noita recently and today's daily practice run is very funny. double glass cannon and no editing wands. crazy but somehow it actually works
