1) Will you please stop ok you’re making me cringe.

2) I’m a muslim girl who wears a hijab , just like Ayesha , and we do not ‘succumb to the misogyny of Islam’ , see if your parents actually taught you anything (seeing you come from a Muslim family) , you should know WHY the Quran tells us to cover ourselves. A woman is like a pearl, so would you rather let it be out in the open for someone to snatch, or for its beauty to be concealed, away from lustful gazes? 

3) People like you and organisations like FEMEN don’t understand that it is a woman’s own choice to wear the hijab/ niqab/ burqa . Muslimahs are not oppressed due to Islam, in fact, it gives us quite a bit of freedom. Also, you have no right to tell muslim women what we can and can’t wear, only my God can do that.

4) The makeup situation: You’re supposed to beautify yourself, for your Lord. But when it does get to ‘caking your face in makeup’ , yeah that is hypocritical.

5) Men are told to lower their gaze, and they also have clothing restrictions. Women are also given higher statuses in Islam than men as they go through a lot. There’s also a hadith about it : “Heaven lies under your Mother’s feet”. Did you hear that ? HEAVEN. How much respect do you give to a woman with Paradise lying under her feet?
