"So, if you've been here for a while, I'm assuming you've been through something like this?"

Satoru asks it while reaching into the collar of his coat to pluck out and toss aside one of the flowers that had been appearing so persistently since he woke up two days ago. How annoying to be dealing with it, moreso because they seemed to be harmless otherwise. If they were a threat to him, it might not grate so much on his nerves.

"It wouldn't be so bad if they didn't keep popping up everywhere." An admission of annoyance, just a little slip through his usually cheery demeanor. "They messed up the little herb box I was gonna try to grow."

"Oh, it's that brat who wouldn't spot me for some cash. Hm... you look like shit." And like he's seen a ghost, too. Was it Toji himself? his face? Something on him? Or maybe the outfit he's wearing?
