@vaultingfist / the holiday seasons have concluded & things for furina have more or less gone back to normal. her normal being having not much else to do aside from picking up a commission or two at the adventurer's guild. given the success of both the little oceanid & the two musketeers film that she directed, furina was not just a hot topic around the streets of fontaine ( she was already before all of that ), but she was also actively sought out by many wanting to make it big. that in itself was not a problem - work was work & she was sure many would love to be in her position. the regina was not ungrateful & she recognized where fortune smiled down upon her. it was a problem of the volume of people that sought her out & their persistence that was the issue & core of the problem. why was it that every time she desired not to have any attention upon her she somehow always managed to earn herself buckets full of it? regardless, the liveliness of it all was a silver lining. it kept her on her toes & made her forget about the pit of loneliness that would no doubt try to consume her.
speaking of silver linings, it has been a while since she's last seen wriothesley.
as the duke of meropide she was aware that was a given, she resigned herself to the fact that she would see him less & less, but ... outside of perhaps one other person & her entourage, wriothesley was by far the closest & realest thing to a friend she had. perhaps it was selfish of her but she missed spending time with him.
furina had written a letter or two to the fortress, but they had gone unanswered which didn't surprise her so much. he must be busy. she sure was getting a taste of how her people must have felt having to wait to even see her at all.
however, furina made do. she hardly sat in her apartment all day sulking, she kept herself busy. so much so that furina took a rather bold move & picked up a commission that required her to travel to sumeru's ormos port & deliver some ingredients from fontaine to a local restaurant there. the journey there was by boat & the ride was thankfully uneventful even if perhaps every now & then she felt like there were a little too many eyes on her, but she dismissed that to being the fact that many recognized who she was given her fame. even though she has been training & now she had a couple of tricks up her sleeve, furina knew she had yet to unlock her full potential with this particular vision she had on her person.
port ormos was a wonderous place to furina & since she received her pay here after the goods she was in charge of taking care of she quite honestly was in no hurry to leave. selfish possibly, but maybe this was the distraction that she needed at the moment.
everything about this place fascinated her down to the very last small thing. it made the smile upon her face remain constant, not once faltering. the smell of food even more so. it only succeeded in reminding her & her stomach that she was hungry. she'll spend some of the mora she just earned from the commission she just finished to treat herself then. it's decided!
furina stood behind someone who was in line to order from the window of a restaurant & while she waited she indulged further upon the view here until her eyes found something familiar to latch on to. she blinked, surely she must be seeing things or her eyes were playing tricks on her. that couldn't possibly be wriothesley could it? it looked like he was drinking something & he very much looked real from here, but there was just no way, it couldn't possibly be him.
' wriothesley? ' her curiosity got the best of her & she stepped out of the line she was on for her food, approaching him instead. what was he doing in port ormos? sumeru as a whole, truly.
