So I don't know what post you are talking about ,but as a Bi woman I completely disagree with what they said. Bi phobia can come from anyone so I am sorry that this person narrowed it down to mostly lesbians. I appreciate it when you stand up for the community(especially since you do it so often) ,and I hate to see the lack of respect going back to you. I hope people will understand what you said and will know better from now on.

I just wanted to point out the construction involved in the ask.  I was allowed to point out demonizing of lesbians as a group specifically only if I participated in demonizing lesbians as a group for invalidating bisexuals when they are in a relationship with someone of the opposite sex.

The truth is one of the key arms of biphobia is invalidating bisexuals when they are in a relationship with someone of the opposite sex.  The active thing here is the biphobia.  And the behavior occurs from gay men, from straight people, from lesbians…

But a behavior that occurs across the board is narrowed down to one group.  

What’s more is the “NotAll” construction my anon used implies structural power.  As in men in the context of sexism or whites in the context of racism have structural privilege, the use of “NotAllLesbians” implies that somehow there is lesbian privilege.  Which I’d love to know what that is because I’d love to have some of it.

What I had been pointing out in the original post is that people I know and like and trusted reblogged a post that consisted entirely of examples of how cruel and awful lesbians were to bi girls but didn’t call out the specific individuals.  Only lesbians as a group.  For behavior that occurs among gay men and heterosexuals as well.
