This might be an odd question but I was wondering if Croatia has a lot of strict laws on the use of its flag? I see lots of pics of the NT players draping it around themselves and ofc there's that photo of Vrsaljko lying down with it on the pitch, but in my country things like that with our flag are big no-nos that could get you fined.

Hey, it’s not odd, quite interesting tbh. I didn’t really know the answer so I had to look up some laws to find out. This is what I found (maybe there’s more but I couldn’t find it): there aren’t any strict laws but there are of course certain things that are punishable. It’s not allowed to cut, tear, burn or in any way damage the flag or the crest and it’s not allowed to fly an already damaged flag.It’s allowed to use it during any kind of celebration as long as you don’t show disrespect to the flag or Croatia.

We fly them all the time especially for sport. On our balconies and windows, buildings, cars and public transport or just carry them around like people did this year but they are always in good condition and taken care of. There are many songs with lyrics about kissing the flag…idk..it’s like a very good friend you hang around with and have fun but would also die for.

As for our players…well Croats are always very proud to show our colours when there is an oportunity such as this one. Our sportsmen always do it. Footballers show it even in competitions that aren’t international. Look up both Luka and Kova and Mandžo after CL finals. It’s not considered disrespectful if they wrap it around them selves even if it is a bit weird because we are proud to see them show it for the whole world to see. Sometimes they even have names of their hometowns on them like Mandžo did after England. It’s a way for them to show that even if they are far far away they still remember and know who they are and where are they from and that they haven’t forgotten us.

What Šime did was a bit weird but…that picture has such positive energy about it! After so much hard work he gets to rest his head on it…and his face is just…pure bliss. My fav picture by far from this cup. It gave him happiness and rest, like coming home after a long day of work. Everybody back home felt it and knew he only felt love for it and it was beautiful :’)

without getting too into specifics, yeah. I regret how I behaved and how I treated some people and how it stemmed from my own arrogance. I wish I could have done it better and more righteously the first time.

I wish I was good at math!! I feel like my lack of ability with it has closed a lot of door for me.

Reykjavik: If you had to choose a country in the World to live forever and ever, which one it would be?

This is hard!!! I haven’t traveled nearly as much as I would like to and I haven’t left the United States that many times so its difficult to judge other places to clearly. Probably the Netherlands because it’s a nice place to begin with and Dutch is a cute language.

Congratulations!! :D Out of curiosity though, why the big gap between you finishing your undergrad subjects and your graduation? (Hope you don't mind me asking)

thank you :) Well, my graduation was a bit delayed because of “administrative problems”* but also because usually not that many people graduate in February, so my uni can’t be bothered organizing a ceremony just for a few people..so all of those who graduate in February have to wait until the late May-early June to get their diplomas all of the sake of pompousness
