The time has come for Halloween to begin.
Here’s some things to know about part two of this event:
The Halloween party will take place October 20th - October 31st.
This will take place on the dash only.
You are welcome to use mini-paras (words only) and f2f’s (paras with gifs).
We encourage you to really focus on Halloween posts. You are welcome to do your other replies, but one week will go really fast. Since these replies have a time limit, it might be best to mainly focus on the Halloween task replies right now. Get the most out of the event!
The event is mandatory. Make sure you tag all of your starters (including closed starters) with #vcastask8 and not #vcasstarter. YOU WILL ONLY GET CREDIT FOR POSTS UNDER THE TASK TAG.
The twist to the event will begin on October 22nd and will be posted in the morning, so keep an eye out because it will change things with what your character is doing.
There will be plenty of time for ships once the twist is in going on, so for the next two days, we encourage you to have your celebrities mingle with everyone. Make sure you reply to starters in the #vcastask8 tag and not just posting your own.
Not everybody got to posting their costumes, so we will extend the date until October 22nd. That gives you two extra days. Failure to complete part one of the task may result in your role being reopened.
Shortly after this post, there will be a RSVP/Costume Cheat Sheet listed. This will help you know who is attending the party and what they are dressed as.

It’s the spookiest time of year and this time we’ve gone all out.
Dear Celebrities, you have been cordially invited to the best Halloween party of your time. This year we dare you to enter our haunted mansion for a night of bone-chilling fun. There will be wicked music, coffins of alcohol, and enough deadly scandals to go around. The only thing you have to do is show up in costume and be ready for anything. This is our Halloween Haunted Mansion Party - Enter If You Dare.
Please read all of the information below.
For the month of October we will be doing #vcastask8. There’s two parts to this task so make sure you’re paying attention to the tag and to the main. For the first part of the task, your celebs will be getting ready for the event. For every celebrity you have attending the party, we ask that you visually post what costume they will be going with and tag it with #vcastask8. You can do this a number of ways. You can make a collage using Polyvore (the most fun and creative), you can post a photo of just a generic costume, or you can even use a photo of the celebrity wearing a costume that they have worn in the past. Please keep in mind that posting a costume to the tag will be like a guest list RSVP. We will be roleplaying Halloween night the week of October 20th - October 31st. All costumes must be posted before October 20th. All celebrities who have RSVP’d by posting a costume into the tag must be used during the actual Halloween event.
When the Halloween event begins on the 20th, we invite you to roleplay with each other using mini-para’s or f2f’s on the dash using the #vcastask8 tag. There will also be a spooky twist to the night (that will come into play on the 22nd) that will use each of your attending celebrities. So, if you haven’t used one of your celebrities to interact, there will still be a chance. More information will come on that when the time comes.
For now we ask that you begin by posting your celebrity costumes/RSVPing. Don’t forget to use the tag #vcastask8 to make sure you get credit. While there is a celebrity participation minimum, for those with multiple characters, we encourage you to bring as many as you can handle to the party.
For those with 2 or less celeb(s), please complete the task for at least one of them. For those with 3-4 celebs, please complete the task for at least two of them. For those with 5+ celebs, please complete the task for at least three. The first part of the task must be completed by 11:59 PM (PST) on October 19th or you risk your celeb being reopened. Part two of the task will begin October 20th and there will be a new post on the main regarding that. Please be sure to tag all tasks as ‘vcastask8′ to ensure proper credit for completion.
