Its felt like forever since he’s had the chance to walk around in the city without anything happening. Or less of anything happening and not being worried by things that are going on in the first place. He noticed that within the month that he was resting, there were more people who were dropped into this city and more that left. It really was like a revolving door of scientists who seemed like they found amusement in the ‘things’ they inflicted on the residents here. 

Instead of letting him be bothered by the futile situation, Emil found himself wandering around the monsters den and noting that some of the more canine-like monsters were a bit tense. Was it because of new residents or...?

“Did a human come into your territory? Is that what happened?” One of them growled louder, even while being pet by the blond.

She is never, ever, online dating again. Of course, she's one of those people in that statistic about meeting the serial killer on a date. If course she is, because the universe finds it hilarious to screw with her like this. Penelope huffed as she came around from whatever he'd dosed her with. Her head was pounding, and thankfully, she was wearing contacts, so no chance of losing her glasses.

However, now she wasn't sure where she was, or even what time it was. Her vision was a bit blurry around the edges, and her head was absolutely throbbing. But her one was vibrating in her purse, on the table. If she could reach it...

✝ |{ He didn’t want to believe it at first.  He really, really didn’t.  It would be too hard.  The both of them had suffered enough, been through too much, and to be placed in this damnable city, this hellish situation, would just be torture, a cosmic joke, two ragdolls shaken to their cores by a child of a deity with immeasurable power.

     The Devil must be laughing at them, he thought numbly as those hazel eyes finally made contact with his dark brown ones and confirmed his worst fears ( and greatest hopes, though he would never admit it ).  His eyes stung and welled with tears, and before he could stop himself, he was walking, trotting, running, sprinting through the crowd towards him, pushing past people and creatures, stumbling over his own two feet through the exertion and the bittersweet.  He tried to speak, to call out to the man, to warn him, but he could barely breathe.

     He scooped Dr. Spencer Reid up in the biggest hug he could muster, breaking down into sobs as he clutched onto the profiler’s sweatervest.  He felt just like he remembered.

✝ |{  “Excuse me, Miss Magilou...” Raphael starts, hesitating for a moment.  “I noticed that you like to watch animated movies at the Menagerie.  Might I ask to watch one with you tonight?  I would try to rent ‘The Prince of Egypt’.  It is a movie I think––I hope––we both would enjoy.” He just wants to have a friend.  Tobias has all the friends; why can’t he have one, too?

✝ |{ “‘Scuse me, Dio,” Tobias gently tapped the blond on the shoulder.  “I-I heard you’ve been in this city for quite some time now.  There’s a district that I can’t get into, but it has a Pokémon I really want in there.  I remember Diamond and Pearl comin’ out back in my world––Pokémon’s a video game there, and those were two editions of the game––and while I didn’t have a DS, I saw a Pokémon called Spiritomb and––I-I dunno, this sounds stupid and moochy,” he faltered for a moment, and then steeled his resolve.  “Would you mind goin’ into Iota and findin’ a Spiritomb for me?  Or accompanying me into Iota?  I’d owe you a favor.”

His finger tapped impatiently on his forearm as he stood in front of his agency, arms crossed. The professor couldn’t decide on what to do with the property - the offices were getting full up and he’d prefer his detectives to have their space ideally. A bigger morgue for Anda to work in would be good too...Enough space for a desk and a few chairs.

He didn’t turn to the man standing next to him, simply asked: “Can I help you?”

✝ |{ It was probably best for him to go last, lest he only want to be an accompaniment to more upbeat Christmas-themed songs.  The ballroom was still warm, even as the night grew old and people began to get ready to leave.  Adjusting his suit one last time with his free hand, he swallowed back what could have been a bit of bile and stepped onto the stage.

     God, there were so many people here.  He hadn’t performed in front of a crowd since he was fifteen, so long ago now that he thought about it.  He glanced to his right, meeting the pianist’s eyes.  He seemed supportive, giving a smile and a small thumbs-up.  Tobias matched the smile with his own nervous one before taking center stage.  He heard the A from the piano, tuned quickly, and closed his eyes.  The opening notes of an introduction began to float along the air, and after seven bars, Tobias raised his bow, prepared to play, waiting for bar eight.  

     And play he did, soon losing himself in the music.  He would play for Christ, he would play for Spencer, for all of the friends he’d made––and if he would play for them, then he would play perfectly.

Well there were a few upsides to going inside the manor for the ball---one of which was, well, food. She’d let it slip her mind to bring anything to eat while up in the tree, so she’d left her gun in a safe spot and slipped in to get some food to go back up with. Maybe some drinks as well, it was a party after all. After gathering enough, she moved to go back out, but stopped when she noticed a man waiting off to the side with a violin case, looking a little nervous.

Thinking for a bit she decided to go over. Perhaps best to give some encouragement to him then leave him as was.

“You play the violin?” She asked as she walked up, smile on her face.

“That’s impressive! I’ve never had a knack for musical instruments myself. Have you ever played a venue this big before?"
