Alright I hate to do this but it's something Kirby and I have been discussing for a while. Unfortunately we've both decided to close Violent Delights for a number of reasons, but mostly because we've noticed the lack of interest, and also because we've both felt that not only has VDRP run its course, but to us it has become something more of a chore rather than something we both once used to enjoy moderating. And because of that we feel that the right thing to do was to close the RP rather than having it drag on and turn into something we legitimately didn't like running anymore.

We'd like to thank you all for being a part of VD and for those that remained with us up to this point. At this point I'm not quite sure if we'd ever reopen, but it's not an impossibility. But for now, thank you all for making this RP the best place we could have ever hoped for it to be and we love you all.

Annnd that's all she wrote kids! The Halloween party at the Salvatore mansion is officially over, and I'm glad to see how many of you participated :)

Remember that all of your event threads are CLOSED. No replying to them at all unless you only needed two or three replies to finish them off. If you wanna write a drabble to sum it all up, that’s up to you lovely little people.

We'll be putting up a post about inactivity and hiatuses later, so keep an eye out. Onto RPing! And remember, we also encourage flashbacks. Those are always fun!

HALLOWEEN PARTY

It's time for the first event in our reboot! I know we're cutting it a little close with the start date, and we do apologize for that. Life and school and work are devilish things. However, do you know what's more devilish? Well, all Hallows Eve of course! Let's get on with the fun stuff, shall we? Oh, but before I forget! Don't forget the activity check. We'll be lurking...

EVENT PLOT

Tick tock goes the clock and it has ticked all the way to Halloween. To celebrate the momentous occasion, and to break the monotony of lapsing memories and dead bodies everywhere, the Salvatore's have decided to throw a town wide party. Sure, it was mostly Faye's idea, but who's to say that the forgotten Salvatore can't enjoy a bit of fun on one of the spookiest nights of the year?

EVENT GUIDELINES

During the event, only roleplay event threads. Any threads that happened prior to the event should be put on hold for the weekend. You can pick them right back up on Tuesday, but not before.

Do not start an event thread before Friday. As soon as Tuesday rolls around, the event threads end. If you just need one or two more replies to finish it up that’s fine. But if it’s not done by a long shot, or you think you won’t have it end by Tuesday night, discuss it with your partner and maybe write a drabble? Or just tell everyone so they aren’t kept in total suspense.

You can roleplay with paras, quick replies, gif chats, whatever you’d like. Just remember to finish them all up on Monday night!

Look out for the GG blasts and A texts. We’re definitely going to be having at least one of each of them during the event.

As promised, it's that time of the month folks! Our first writing challenge since reopening!

PROMPT: FAMILY

Everyone has a family story. A person who is related to them that helped make them who they are. Write a drabble about that family member (or someone that is like a family member) who truly helped turn your character into who they are today. It cannot be a family member who is a playable character in the RPG.

You guys have until Monday, October 7th to post your drabble, and while these aren't usually compulsory, for this writing challenge we require all of our members to participate as it will count towards the activity check.
