How to Taper Vector Lines Cleanly in CSP

I always forget how to do this, since I don't do it often & it's buried in the UI. So I was googling it again and found my old Reddit post! Thanks, me! Posting it here too.

To taper a vector line cleanly, use the Correct Line tool → Redraw vector line width:

Or, use Correct Line → Control Point → Adjust line width. Then just drag the control point you want to adjust to the desired size:

Either way, it's better to adjust the line thickness after drawing a non-tapered line; this will give you a clean line with fewest control points ↓

Versus drawing it tapered using the Starting and Ending option in Line tools — CSP adds a bunch of points along the line, making it a mess that's hard to change ↓

(If someone knows of a better way to draw it cleanly and tapered to begin with, please LMK! Best to comment on the Reddit post; I don't often see replies here on Tumblr.)

Likewise, "Adjust Line Width" is not good for precision; it will give you a wobbly line with a ton of points:

They made it annoyingly specific in CSP and I keep forgetting every time. So this is a note-to-self + whoever else needs it: ↓ What we don't

CSP is amazing for painting (among other things, Lasso Fill Brush is fantastic; I wish Procreate had it). It's my go-to nowadays for most illustrations.

But it's weird for design; missing a lot of features. Even should-be-simple tasks like centering an object to another are kind of a pain. Always surprises me, since CSP was also (or foremost?) made for comics and has layout tools baked in.

Wouldn't it be amazing if life was like a vector line? We could just straighten out the messes and make something perfectly smooth and pretty without having to do hardly anything at all. Make a few clicks and it's done.

But life wouldn't have any bumps or curves or surprises and wouldn't be fun anymore....
