i just have to go ahead and confess. i actually hate myself for still living with my abusive mother. my relationship with her has deteriorated to almost nothing, she has issues she’s unwilling to acknowledge and yet i still put up with her physical/mental abuse on an almost daily basis and.... i still love her. despite it all.

somehow im naive enough to think she’s the same person she was 10 years ago which isn’t the case at all. i want to /help/ her but it’s not within my capacity to do so. the best way to help, as she herself has continuously made clear to me, is to leave her. so why can’t i fucking do it already

why must i be dependant and feel like this situation is all i deserve
